god this game is terrible.

♥♥♥♥ devs from quebec sure are great at making unbalanced and undercooked asymmetric monster games.

the game runs amazingly, looks great, and is very fun, unlocked framerate and it does infact have 4k, it also has scaling, the hotas issue is just a bug bamco is aware of, review bombing helps nobody

Love monster hunter, i love this game, i plan to spend many hours on it, i dont reccomend you buy it.
The reason?
it runs like ass, this game is full force "runs fine on my machine" from its defense force, when you ask what kind of pc they use its almost always some kind of 6th to 8th generation intel i5 or i7 and either a 1070 or a 1080.
Any game will run fine with that kind of pc, me personally still have a pretty high end rig, but because i have an old i5 (one that still punches pretty high for being 6 years old) a 3570k clocked at 4.8ghz, which is a 0.1% processor, very very few 3570ks clock this high, and that is the games bottleneck, your cpu, and for no real reason, i can turn every physics related option off and the game still pegs my cpu to 100%. and the telling thing is that the game runs exactly the same at the highest settings as it does the lowest, my 1% lows on both the high and low preset are 18 fps, my average on both is 44.

And before anyone asks i have a 1070 clocked to 2125, and it never even clocks up that high when im playing, it stays are 1550@40% useage.

Dont buy this game unless you dont mind god awful preformance or think the average person games on a 8700k and a 1080ti.

The lead ability designer should find a new job, they have no idea how to make fun, interesting, unique abilities, most of (read all) of the abilities are carbon copies of something in another moba or arena game, those things would be fine by themself but the kicker is the games pace is slow, abilities cooldowns are far to long, match length is far to long, ability damage is far to low, auto attack damage is to low, attack speed is to low, hp is way to high, the differences between the heroes of each class (of which their are 5, 4 of them have 3 characters and 1 has 1, meaning the game only has 13 characters, however the difference between them is their trait, if you own all the items all characters of a class can have the exactly same skills and passives sans ult and trait.

All in all the game feels like slapping the enemy with a wet noodle, this coupled with many minor things like the awful, uninformative UI, the pointless "level up" button when you reach a new level (pressing the button mearly makes you the new level IE pressing is makes you go from 1>2 when you level up) that serves no purpose as abilities are level gated and have no levels themselves if you just automatically leveled up it would achive the same result, the game reeks of changed design goals a million times over.

Come back in a year if the game isnt dead by then and maybe it might be good if they make the gameplay less god awful.

Until then go play battleright or warlocks or something not garbage.

Game still insanely unbalanced, wraith is broken as ♥♥♥♥, probably moreso then before f2p, dont waste your time.

Game is great now, no more desync, matchmaking means a more consistant playerbase, ships have been balanced out, really fun game now.

Great concept, terrible execution.
The devs constantly lie (about upcoming content and bug fixes the say something is coming then it never happens and they never talk about it again)
The prioritize the cash shop over fixing the still in the game since 2 years ago rubber banding that makes the game nearly unplayable some times, and made the game actually unplayable the one time they had more then 1k players (the 6k player free week)when ships would rubber band several km, and the devs got so bent out of shape about being asked about the issue they started lashing out at players telling them "to be grateful you can even play the game".
Do not buy this game right now, if they fix all the glaring issues they've lied about fixing and then never talked about again, if they removed the incredibly P2W (they are broken as hell, ide know, i own them) cash shop ships, if they stop being ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥, then yes buy the game, because its pretty fun even with the issues.

Utter grabage, Uses meme and reused filler lines to bloat enviroments with clickable ojects, sub par writing, grammatical errors, below amatuer animation/modeling/voice acting, use's a scientific backdrop (space, space ships and robots) with a marked lack of understanding about science (a trained space exploration team appanetly doesnt know what the signs of radiation poisoning is which by the way doesnt look anything like thalium poisoning which the game presents the player as to why they are all morons, crew exposed to 11 Gy of radiation lives from between 3-9 days, which is stupid they would all be dead within 2, flamiable nitrogen that isnt under pressure), incosistant (surface has no breathable atmosphere but yet we see no EVA suits even after the crew apperently caring about tideyness as the game will tell you with the many many many copy pasted crate and clutter dialogs).
All in all i have no idea why this game is rated so positively, i guess the backrounds look nice and the ship and robot look okay (but the solar panels spin for no reason and would lead to much lower power generation, and the robot has clunky jerky animations), but then again P&C players also find use everything with every P&C games good so ill just chalk this up to stockholm syndrom of a genre.
