this game was beautiful and stands out tremendously in the survival horror genre. this game is not perfect in anyway. the combat mechanics definitely have some obvious features that shouldn't be there in my opinion for a survival horror game which can take the suspense and immersion away. however, the rich story and writing has so much meaning and attention to detail that cannot be ignored and the common gamer definitely will not fully understand in the first playthrough which gives the player a huge incentive in NG+ !

hinako is a fantastic protagonist who lives a very relatable story to teens growing up in rough households and the world of silent hill hasn't ever felt so fresh and new but still respectful to the art style of what makes silent hill unique from other survival horror games like resident evil. this is definitely my game of the year for sure.
