This should be a thumbs up but the game is just too frustrating in several areas due to poor design. Compared to the first game the combat feels dumbed down but is still plagued with being constantly overwhelmed by superior numbers that you can't flee (your horse magically bucks you off regardless of your distance from a bandit forcing you into 1v4 fights for ex).
No autosaves (like first game) so prepare to lose hours of gameplay due to crashes or aforementioned broken engagements.
Thievery isn't a great line, you get "caught" no matter how careful you are to be unseen as villagers are amazing detectives after the fact.
For the price even on sale I would not recommend.

This game just was not for me so here's my balance to the overwhelming reviews.

I found the UI response a little clunky and long winded, I like the first person view but once opening the hood it would be better suited to a fixed view with a free cursor to select the obvious parts - the FPV just made things awkward for me.

The process to do everything is very long winded, it might feel cool at first, but I can see later on that it would be cumbersome, and it's not consistent; having to take the cap off the fluid containers in order to and use the extractor but then to fill the container the cap doesn't need to be taken off first you can just fill it.

After 1 hour of game play I had only completed 2 story services (right off the bat quite convoluted too). Whilst I was new to the game, the issue was around design, with personal experience knowing where to look for parts was obvious but trying to navigate through the weird view design made finding the fuel pump (for example) utterly long winded.

I get the design is to make it more realistic but at the cost of the game being an absolute timesink just kills it for me.

This is a co-op game, not a solo game, and as a co-op played with friends it can be fun, frustrating, and hilarious all at the same time.

I have made new friends along the way which was easy to do, find some random people that play how you like to play and send friend requests, I play with people from so many other countries it's that inclusive, and the cross network play works very well - it's being able to play with my non-pc friends.

There were issues that have been resolved and the devs are stating what more is to be resolved whilst delivering new, albeit not deep content. Since I bought the game I have only seen improvements and i've had 190 hours of funsies.

New accessible content has been added constantly and you don't need DLC/season pass - full respect

Great little chill out game, enough content in EA to be considered complete

Released in 2020 and still being actively supported and improved; a very good co-op game with difficultly levels allowing for greenbeards and greybeards alike to enjoy on whatever level they like.

This game doesn't hold your hand and does require some understanding of how lighting and map navigation works and how to work as a team with the different roles on offer with my opinion that the roles are considerably more specific/separate than other co-ops, similar to Vermintide in that respect with ability to tweak the layouts within each role.

On that note, if you like Vermintide, you should love this game.

Picked this game up via a random 66% steam discount voucher, wouldn't have known about it otherwise, great thought out game with a rather short story but lots of achievements to aim for making this very replayable.

This is a game best played with friends but for online play you cannot host your own server, you must use a public server that appear to be absolute dog ♥♥♥♥♥ - packet loss, rubber banding, completely bollocked results.

No way to skip intro videos or any cut scenes, it takes so dam long to get in and set up the game and get through the intro that by the time you get to the real game it's too late to get a refund.

This game is visually pleasing and the mechanics are almost enjoyable but the following issues just ruin what could have been an amazing game:

The downswing timing added after you progress from beginner is just absolutely inconsistent and horribly ruins any casual aspect of playing, found that the game is more enjoyable making the swing path pro and disabling the downswing timing but you must use the timing in online play where the timing is even worse.

The menu transitions can take anywhere from milliseconds to several minutes - it appears to be issues with uploading changes to cloud, might be servers not coping with player base?

You can not have multiple careers for multiple people in your house hold. My wife and I loved playing the original tiger woods and having our own players that we could play together with, but local multiplayer on this game only allows you to have pre made characters.

This game is annoyingly clunky and is all just a linear story line with no real game to it. The father character being an annoying unkillable threat you have to cheese away from for a good part of the game is just dumb. The story is the only reason to play, the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ inventory system, clunky mechanics, and eye rolling fights just draw it out.
