My brain was just wrinkly enough to get there, this game really stretched my puzzle-solving abilities in a fun way.

There's simply too much to put to words about this game, what an incredible experience no matter how you play

I don't know what it is, but breaking bots and squashing bugs really brings out the democracy in me

Outside of the general story idea and the cast of characters, this game is kind of a letdown. Combat is movement-based and awkward, the live-service portion sucks, and the story just kind of abruptly ends.

Oh, and you can't really build around Captain Boomerang's boomerangs, which is just wrong.

You really can't go wrong with a Dark Souls-like Metroidvania, where it's constantly challenging and includes backtracking to previous areas when you get new powers. This is a proper sequel, where it carries over all the skills and abilities from the previous game and expands on them while also adding new skills and abilities. I also like Cal's journey, he's just trying to survive and do what he can against overwhelming odds. It even tackles a bit of his dips into the Dark Side. At this time, performance was up and down. Certain areas had higher framerates, others didn't, mostly a non-issue for me.

9/10

A more or less open world Souls game, and it works really well. Plenty of bosses, builds, and places to explore, even though the game doesn't tell you much of anything besides kind of where to go.

Recommended by a friend, A+ for him.

Really great game about exploring the universe and unraveling the mysteries of the cosmos. Hard to talk about this game in particular without spoiling it.

Ok so, at the time of this writing, the game is still a technical mess. Lots of random bugs and annoyances pretty much everywhere, but, I'm still going to recommend.

If you played the original Dying Light, it feels pretty much the same, but with enhanced gameplay mechanics. All of the new mechanics are really fun and fairly intuitive to use. Paragliding in particular is awesome, and with the right upgrades, you can basically fly semi-permanently. This game is also a really fun coop experience.

Also similar to the original, the story pretty much plays out like most action movies. It's predictable and most of the choices kinda don't matter until the very end. Like I mentioned earlier, the game is a technical mess, from random little annoyances to getting locked out of certain collectibles. It also ran relatively poorly, even on my 3700X and RTX 3080.

Ultimately, it's enjoyable if you don't play for the story and are okay with bugs and lower graphics for higher performance.
