i am in awe of how smooth and good cs2 feels. i already knew of the improvements of source2, yet it is so different experiencing it first hand. i have a lower end machine that reaches 100+ fps though STUTTERS in GO, yet this is infinitely more playable. lower fps sure, but stutters are non-existent and the game is super duper responsive. i love this!

for more info, i stutter a lot in TF2 and CSGO, i play on those 2 with lower resolution and higher settings. though in cs2, its the opposite, i run a higher res and lower settings in this one, and it is SMOOTH as hell. (i run mods and tweaks too on tf2, though i guess it is more bloated and older than GO)
(specs are a ryzen 3550h, rx560x, 12gb yes 12gb ram, not installed on an ssd, all on a laptop)

game is like TIKTOK bro "this will be games in 2092" type shi didnt need any subway surfers or family guy clips to play the game so quite revolutionary 10/10 attention span was kept all the way through

The BEST Borderlands entry in the series. Even Borderlands 3 with its many, many QoLs and improvements just stand no chance to BL2 imo. Got it on Steam, Epic (when it went free), and PS4, with lots of hours on all three (prob have like 120+ hours combined). Even my father loved this game, playing it with me and my bro in 3-player splitscreen on PS4 (up to TVHM-newgame+ too and early UVHM-newgame++)


Buy the Handsome Collection if you're interested, includes all DLCS, The Pre-Sequel and also BLTPS's DLCS (except for BL2's Commander Lilith DLC which is scummily priced)
You can mod it too, in which you could have even more variety in an already full-of-variety game, this also includes QoL mods.
And of course, the game is especially fun when played with others. (also very fun in singleplayer tho :))

As others have said, the UI feels confusing, adding to that is the tons of missing features this steam version would have. It is nice to have steam cloud or whatever steam deck crap you want. But knowing about the suuuuper dodgy history of the devs is another thing, and that's the main reason I really can't recommend it.

Was only curious about this steam release. I prefer to use standalones anyways and I highly recommend to just support the actual emulator developers on their individual projects instead.

But well, even if I told you to avoid it, I still can't stop you from downloading it and stuff. Hope you still have fun if you do choose to do so.

Recently replayed, still great, especially with someone on co-op, which was the main reason I remember buying this game.

For the second game I ever bought on Steam in 2015, on sale for less than a dollar when converted to my country's currency, this has got to be one of the best purchases I have ever made on Steam. (plus Battleblock Theater, so like, less than 2 dollars lmao)

Saw this before it even got on steam, thought it was gonna be a weird jokey little game or something.

It has it's jank, but for the most part, I liked the customization and options the game gives you (even has photo mode and a ton of other optional stuff), and everything else, story, gameplay, and other stuff are just simple and fun.

It's a bit rough, but it's free and it's surprisingly good. If I paid for this, then I'd probably expect a bit more polish, but it's free. :)

Used to play the PSP version for hours on end. Peak large scale shooty-explody-battling.

sometimes it's just outright frustrating (especially the world 5), but fun, and somewhat addicting, with the addition of the awesome soundtrack. basically everything except some levels from world 4 and 5 were fun.

liked it to the point of 100%'ing.
