This game has and always will be brilliant, alas it suffered from terrible PR and a TERRIBLE business model at launch, which has led to this game's unfair downfall and dismissal.

An absolutely fantastic game for any zombie survival fan, a perfect blend of elements, from personal survival, community management, forward thinking, and good old fashioned zombie slaughter.
I've since played State of Decay 2, and still find myself coming back to play the original.
For the time this game was made, especially with the free DLC in this version, I give this a solid 9/10.
