It has the makings of an okay game, maybe even good.
Initially I even had high hopes for it when I started.
Gameplay is reasonably smooth, and the art is okay, and even runs on PC and Phone (Android for me).

The downside comes after just a few hours.
First red flag for me is the lack of quests, and the initial quest giver immediately shoots out of lvl range on his quests after just 2 quests. Even when you finish the quest, often enough his rewards are not for your level yet.

After grinding the same area, the same mobs (little diversity), and talking to the same NPC(s) over and over in between a lot of grinding, I tried skilling.
Unfortunately the grind on skilling is likewise very sad and just repetitive as there is just too little diversity.

No worries, I thought I just wait a bit and try later after some updates if they add more quests, rework the rewards from the quest to fit the level a little bit etc.
So I go to their site, enter a ticket and wait for a response to see what the plans are for the game and if they know about the issue, because then I will check back in a few weeks or months.

Unfortunately after a week there is still no replay (besides the automated one that the ticket was made), and I guess that is it for me.

The game is not horrible so if you like grinding it may be for you, but I get the feeling the developer(s) may have chewed off too much by starting this mmo.

Not terrible, but just too buggy. So much extra time spend on restarts etc...

It is close enough to HL1 to be as enjoyable. Graphics definitely got an upgrade. Gameplay stays pretty close. Most of the other "improvements" for the maps aren't much of an improvement and could have just been kept the same, but I wouldn't call it an issue.

All in all, fun to have played Half Life again.

I notice that it often doesn't work very well, waiting for sound to start may take a bit, sometimes not even starting at all unfortunately. Looks good otherwise and the idea is nice, if only it worked 100% of the time.

It is a bit hard to get in to but that is because it just started out. It definitely has room to improve, but it is not terrible. If you like survival games, you can probably give it a go and enjoy it.

The downside is that this game is trying to be many different games at the same time (too many minigames for my taste). However the main game succeeds at its job of keeping you entertained for quite some time, and some of the extra stuff is pretty decent as well.

Great fun for a bit if you can get it for a few bucks. But bugs and short story line make it boring/annoying quickly so don't spend too much on it.

Only played a few hours during free weekend so keep that in mind.

I feel like this game is rather boring and asks too much of your patience (I am considered a pretty patient person).
The first hour I was finding tons of animals and shot 3 in a row rather easily.
However with how big the areas are and how few animals I found later on this is just not for me.
With no marks in sight, hardly any sounds it got boring rather fast.

That aside I feel like the skill tree at least gives you some gaming progression to work towards.
However between that, the few different rifles, backpacks, the dogs (DLC only) and the vehicles (DLC) I feel like this game is at least not worth getting at full price.
Looking at the sheer amount of DLCs and how little the game has with, and worse how little it has without those DLCs, I would look for a steep discount or just look for a different game.

The most redeeming factor would be the surroundings, but I did get bored before starting a different map/location so yeah... there might be that issue.
Unless you are really into hunting I would skip this one.

I wish they would add STEAM WORKSHOP support so we do not have so much downtime between DLC's. But it's a freebie so can't complain about price/quality of this one.

Fine game for its age, though it definitely is rather clunky and unbalanced. Some maps are worse than others. Still a fun game and if you like strategy like C&C and TA, this will most likely be not much different of an experience for you.
