One of the best modern shooters. I really enjoy playing with my friends. The games are not boring because of destructible environment and gadgets, sometimes even funny things happen. I highly recommend this game!

Initially I've given this game a positive review(scroll down to see it) but now that I have seen the entire picture and finished it I'd have to say this: Don't bother.
Wait few years for -50% off and then this game might be worth it (and fixed by modders). There are maybe two memorable questlines and like one memorable moment in the story, everything else is really - for a lack of better word - boring. Boring characters, boring world, boring exploration, terrible space mechanics.

It still baffles me that there were no meaningful performance patches and no official DLSS support. This is a joke.

I have not finished the game yet but I am very happy with it. It is a Bethesda game so you have to expect it to behave like any other Bethesda title. Don't expect this to be something it is not. The story is very engaging even tho I did not run into any really memorable sidequests like Thieves Guild questline from Skyrim. Learning the lore is fun. I like the characters but I don't think theres a truly evil companion available which is kind of a letdown.(if you wanna play an a-hole) I also am not a huge fan of crafting and outposts, feels like a nerf compared to what we had in FO4. I also feel like exploration is a missed potential but the hubs are nicely designed so thats something. It's not No Mans Sky I'll tell u that.

Technical-wise this is THE most stable Beth game I have ever played. I have 49hrs so far and this game have not crashed once. I have upgraded my PC to play it but 3070Ti is struggling at 1440p, even 1080p - performance is absolutely awful.

Blizzard forgot this is a video game and not a character skins store.

They have no idea what to do with this game.

I love Mafia but this port is absolute garbage. Stutters all the time. I wrote this review during a game hangup thats how bad this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of a port is.

This is basically SWAT 4 and I absolutely love it!!

Its okay I guess. More of a shooter than RPG tho - so thats not the game we were promised and hyped about.

This game is literal dogwater but there is nothing else modern to play. Holy heck. Everything in this game is busted.

I ain't gonna go into much detail because this game already wasted too much of my (and everyone elses) time.
Do. Not. Buy. This. Steaming. Pile. Of. Garbage.
This game literally has its foundation broken and/or not working and/or incomplete. Theres literally less guns in this game than in open beta of BF5 and only one firearm works.
Shooting in an FPS game(??!!) does not work, UI is absolutely disgustingly bad, map design is terrible, performance is ♥♥♥♥♥, they teased a dark, grim setting but game characters operators have cringe voicelines that almost sound like straight from Fortnite. The world is falling apart, massive climate change and disasters, people starve to death but you gotta do a Fortnite dance in the end screen, say something cringe and say how cool the war is. Theres no classes in a BATTLEFIELD game. Cant tell who has which gadget do u just hope someone eventually will throw u an ammo box. I can point out much, much more issues with this game but its a waste of time. I think I should've give you a list of things that work: the game launches, sometimes. Thats it.

Classic bait and switch. They gave us great trailers(like always) that BF veterans loved and they gave us chinese knock-off battlefield/cod/fortnite hybrid.

Hell, people compare the launch to BF4 launch and say that BF4 was fixed so 42 will be fixed as well. They are obviously high on lethal doses of Copium. BF4 was a promising game underneath and they delivered the fixes to make final product that I (and many others) absolutely love. This turd of a game cant be salvaged and fixed. I know theres no mainstream shooters in 2021 but don't think about giving EA money for that reason. If you want to try this game then just buy EA Play or whatever thats called and see for yourself how bad it is.

It's a promising... umm.. i wouldn't call this a game just yet- its a promising idea for a game.

Hear me out, right now all you get is a lot of firearms and crazy amount of melee weapons. Theres slowmo mechanic that I like, shooting feels pretty okay, you can interact with a gun and weapons have weight to it but sometimes its hard to grab a gun and hold it correctly without grabbing a charging handle or something else. Its hard to take a mag out of your belt - devs have to tweak the sweetspot. Movement is okay as well, enemy AI is dumb and they rush you but this cant be avoided as, well, you literally fight in a 10x20m cage with some props sprinkled over it.

Aesthetics wise this game is absolutely amazing, kinda reminds me of old arcade rail shooters and Max Payne 1/2. Minus the sound. Sound design is absolutely awful, guns sound bad and theres no music at all. Playing this game without music Vs with Spotify in the background is day/night difference.

Speaking of rail shooters I feel like this game would benefit from a mode like that where you have to move up the neverending-ish street and fight off cops/goons, hide behind cars, move through alleyways. Maybe implement a scoring system so its more competitive. (with arcade-style score popups?)

Its an interesting concept but for now I simply cant recommend it as it still has some way to go.

I truly believe this can become a big game that everyone owning VR has played and knows.
