~PROS~
In Manhunt, you play as James Earl Cash, a man who was supposed to face execution for unsaid severe crimes. However, it was then discovered that the executioners had been bribed from a mysterious director to instead sedate Cash and kidnap him to appear in a “snuff” film (films with actual murder). You are forced to then eliminate vicious murderers called “hunters” from a different variety of groups in brutal and sadistic methods using stealth (splitting heads apart with a chainsaw, decapitating Hunters with wire, slicing a Hunter's neck a few times with a machete to completely take off his head, etc) or fight them head on in order to escape.

Manhunt was one the most controversial games back in it’s release year (2003) because of it’s over excessive use of gore and disturbing imagery that even Rockstar felt uncomfortable making it, and that’s why it’s a great game.

~CONS~
Although the game may be an old classic gem, it’s PC port is pretty bad. Gameplay is still the same, however, users on modern operating systems are forced to suffer from crashes, bugged out scenes with exits not opening after you've completed required objectives, looping cutscene audio even after the cutscene finishes and uncapped high frame rates causing Hunters to be unable to walk normally, thus causing consumers to look onto the internet or Steam Guides in order to find fixes to restore the game to proper working order.

The game can also be really difficult in some cases. For example, midway in the game you are forced to get past a group of hunters in a small area, within a overrun penitentiary, which could cause you to probably get spotted ALOT, with Uzis draining all your health away in just two seconds (or maybe I’m just bad 🙃).

~CONCLUSION~
This game is easily one of my favorites and I’d rank this an 8/10 (great gameplay, however it can be pretty difficult and does still require official fixes).

Great story line with intense action throughout and very tough choices (Only played 1-3, going to 4 now). This is a recommended must buy for die-hard fans of story-telling games.

The game can be pretty entertaining, as (in my opinion) the game has some pretty funny dialogue along with some pretty intense shoot-outs with the camera constantly shaking a lot to add a cinematic feel to the game.

The graphics look pretty decent, though I wouldn’t object to trying to mod the game with any “Special FX” mods or something like that. Plus, the game adds ALOT of lighting effects, though if you dislike the lighting effects, they should be able to be disabled in the game’s settings.

However, I can understand why many call this game repetitive, as the shoot-outs happen constantly, making the game’s pacing pretty hard to get used too.

Another factor is the shaky camera. While yes, even though I did say that the camera DOES add a cinematic feel to the game, it can be headache inducing and cause things to be hard to see in some cases. Luckily, this feature can be disabled in the settings menu.

All in all, the game is good, but it does seem rushed. It may be best to try to get the game on sale for a cheaper price rather then grabbing it for ten dollars.

——-MULTIPLAYER———
(In my opinion, of course) The multiplayer mode has very interesting concept for game modes, such as: Fragile Alliance (where players steal money from a bank, but have to keep an eye out for themselves as players could betray their team to grab more money for themselves, though not without facing consequences for their actions, of course), Cops & Robbers (Player-controlled Robbers infiltrate banks and steal money while player-controlled cops attempt to stop them, along with the betrayal mechanic still being applied) etc.

This game is a bit more challenging then it's sequel.
