it's good

Hundreds of thousands of players. A responsive executive in charge, a robust dev team, a rabid fanbase, and most importantly one of the funnest co-op experiences of the decade, not to mention a damn solid example of a live service game's positives.

Sony has not been a good publisher, but the community seems to have prevailed so far and the PSN account linking requirement has been retracted, returning this review to a positive. Remember that collective action works. Apply it often and improve the world around you.

It's good

A new visual twist on the open world survival formula. Some functionality jank as expected from early access. Gameplay loop feels very similar to Ark, right down to glowing supply beacons and stun/subjugation mechanics for turning NPCs into companions.

This game angers me.

it's still pretty alright

The developers have stopped work on this game to "focus on other projects" because of "low sales numbers", after initially claiming that funding was secured.

Excellent session-based survival game. Be prepared for difficulties early on!

Ninja robots? Check.
Ninjas riding ninja robots? Check.
The fact that the game is still being played now, 4 years after its release, speaks to the quality plainly. This is one of the best FPS games of the 2010s.

A bit shakey with RTX turned on on my 2070 Super, but without RTX I've so far seen very little visual glitching or performance issues at 1080p. The gameplay is smooth and brutal, and the worldbuilding is top notch. This title was well worth the wait.
