It's getting a lot of unnecessary hate.

There's things missing from the OG skate games like H.O.M but I have faith in the developers to pull through after a few seasons.

It's not pay to win, Gameplay is good, soundtrack is alright but the AI assistant's voice is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and I hate it. 7/10 needs more time in the oven.

The recommendation of this game is a difficult one, on the one hand, its enjoyable, the suspense of fleeing dinosaurs much bigger than you, meeting random friends, going on adventures with said friends and noticing them either going missing slowly or even starting your own little nest with them has become some of the best emergent game play I've experienced.

That being said, growing a dinosaur to adult is painful, often taking multiple hours out of your day to get to adult, constantly dodging dinosaurs, both carnivores and herbivores, trying not to starve, often just sitting there, staring at the screen just... waiting.

Recently the AI has been broken to a point of barely ever spawning making early game survival incredibly difficult for certain dinosaurs, such as the Deinosuchus who relies heavily on AI fish to get going, out of the previous 5 runs on official servers, all 5 have ended in the slow attrition of my health and hunger, which paired with the SEVERAL hour growing time is just a painful experience.

If you have friends you can play with, I would say wait for a sale and for the AI to be fixed and its a fun experience, however if you're a solo, I just can't recommend the game in its current phase. Too little content, too much waiting to starve to death.

If it wasn't for the community server "Petits Pieds" I would've quit the game by now.

Another negative is the step you need to take to even access the game, needing to go to the betas and enable the Evirma branch of the game.

its good, unit spam seems quite balanced when I compare it to similar games, and your units actually matter but online is touch and go since there's no penalty to leaving, all in all, a pretty solid start if not just a little bare bones.

Edit: Nukes are annoying, had a game where the team just couldn't get air defences going and we just ended up getting nuked repeatedly.

The games been out 24 hours, I've played for 27... played it for 3 hours in EA, help. I'm addicted.

The scope of what happens in this game is hilarious, I've laughed, I've audibly gone "awww", I'm yet to cry but I was close. This is probably in the top 3 of games I've EVER played.

One of the best games I have ever played. I've played on and off since 2012, even donated way back when and got myself a lil hand drawn picture and badge.
