A highly enjoyable game with lots of potential. This review is based on Early Access: Alpha 2.1. The concept of this game is simple, explore an array of user generated dungeons to acquire equipment and improve your character, currently only the Fighter & Fire Lord are available to play.

The games combat system is simple and well defined, though I am not entirely comfortable with the controllers interface, I found myself continuosly trying to open( X ) an enemy rather than attack them. Perhaps allow for controller remapping, or provide a map that uses the Left/Right Triggers for combat?

Enemy characters look exceptional and are initially enjoyable to slay, however after a few levels I found myself killing the same monsters with little variance in their combat tactics, most monsetrs operate on a run towards player and attack strategy.

The game provides a swathe of equipment, with some rather enjoyable names, running through a dungeon can easily see your backpack being full of primarily junk items which you don't seem to be able to sell anywhere. In fact you can accumulate money but I'm not sure where you spend it?

Dungeons can feel slightly bland with monsters only being used as the main challenge, hopefully as users become more familiar with the map-editor and the editor provides more tools to create unique set-pieces that provide memorable engagements this will be satiated.

Overall I found the game exceptionally enjoyable to play, but as it is Early Access lacking some of the components that could make it a truly great game. I look forward to seeing more from the developer, 3 Sprockets.
