While this game may not exactly be my cup of tea, I think it does a few things that at a lot of other fighting games fail to do. For one, it has a pretty good tutorial system which makes the game more accessible for newer players. It also provides a very simple system for newer players where they can mash to get a sufficient combo. Even with the much more simplistic system where moon stances from the previous game were taken out, I still think there is a good amount of depth to the game itself. I would definitely recommend this to players who are looking for an anime fighter experience, whether you are new to the genre or if you are an older player from other anime fighters.

Hey there gamers? Tired from work? Want to chill out with friends and try something casual but fun? Then this BOTW mixed with Terraria and Pokemon game is for you. Sure, it's not the most complete yet but with the changes made I can say it's shaping up to be something great.

The road to a remake is paved with lots of hardships, especially if you decide to change something the fans know and love into something new. Time and again we have seen other franchises fail at their attempts. However, I can safely say that Risk of Rain 2 will not be joining their ranks on my list. The transition from a 2D platformer roguelike to a 3D FPS feels almost seamless, like it was meant to be. Although it now forces the player to have aim, the game somehow stays true to a lot of what the old game had to tote, even making classes that might seem obsolete such as Mercenary have a good place in the game. The various items as always allow for a lot of different styles of play, some which could even break your graphics card if you so desire (trust me, playing this game at one frame due to your build is just a feeling like no other). Although the game is still not entirely complete, the developers have been pumping out good updates to keep the game fresh enough to come back to. Overall, if you enjoy a good old roguelike, then this game is definitely for you, packed to the brim with hours and hours of fun. I'm looking forward to see what the end product will be.

A seemingly simple game that has a lot of tactics behind it. It manages to be fun and to make much of the choices you make be impactful.

What makes a game a game? According to Meiere, a game is "a series of interesting choices." True to his word, Meier's Civilization does just that. Ever wanted to enact your deepest fantasy of reverse colonizing European powers? Wanted to create death-robots? How about taking over barbarians and amassing an army? All possible in Sid Civ V.

Now, from the videos, you may be questioning why the hell anyone would recommend this game. Hell, when I wa first introduced to the series, I thought to myself, "Isn't this every other fighting game, but with more sh*t graphics?" Let me tell you, I was dead wrong. There is a reason why I have 2 copies and I keep insisting for my friends to get copies of this game. There is a reason why I keep buying all the versions and why I spend hours upon houirs in Akihabara in game centers playing this game. That's because this isn't just any fighting game. This is a game that is done much better than most, to be honest. Why is that? Well, to start off, pretty much everything in the game is balanced if you have skill. Sure, a lot of characters seem like a pile of bullcrap coming in (I remember whining about Noel's easy 4 piece combo). But then you get good, learn the game, and learn how to overcome such adversities. Not only that, but the mechanics that the game has are absolutely wild. Sure, it isn't Guilty Gear level, but the amount of things you can do compared to a lot of other fighting games are insane. Most importantly though, anything can happen. I've had some wild comebacks and people have pulled wild comebacks. You never know what's going to happen. Most fighting games are ones where from the start it's a one sided battle for one person, but on this field, a sleight of hand can help you to turn the tide completely. There is one thing I have to say that is a bit negative, but it doesn't have to do with the game as much as the platform conversion that was done. With games such as these and Street Fighter V, it just so happens the conversion wasn't done as well as I'd hope, so often times you'll find yourself trying to fix these problems with resolution and such, but I still think it's totally worth.
