I really wanted to like Fairground Online, because the concept itself has massive potential. A multiplayer fairground sandbox where people can operate rides together, play jingles, create atmosphere, and build a real community sounds amazing on paper. Sadly, the reality is completely different.

The biggest problem is the technical side of the game. The security and backend systems are unbelievably weak. Through basic reverse engineering and simple testing, it becomes obvious how vulnerable the game actually is. Things that should never be possible in an online multiplayer game are apparently very easy to abuse. I’m not going into detail for obvious reasons, but if regular players can stumble across this stuff, then the developers clearly have serious problems behind the scenes.

On top of that, the entire game feels heavily “vibecoded.” Instead of polished systems and stable development, everything feels rushed, inconsistent, and unfinished. There are bugs everywhere, strange behavior, unstable sessions, and features that feel half implemented. For a game that costs around 30 euros, this is simply not acceptable.

But honestly, the worst part is not even the game itself, it’s the way the community and staff are handled.

Any form of criticism, feedback, or negative opinion seems to get you silenced almost immediately. Players who complain, report issues, or question decisions often end up banned or removed from the community. Over time, it feels like the developers pushed away a huge part of their own player base, including staff members and long-time supporters. Instead of listening to feedback and improving the game, criticism is treated like an attack.

That’s incredibly disappointing, because the game genuinely had potential. The modeling work and atmosphere can actually look great at times, and you can tell some talented people worked on it. But potential alone doesn’t make a good game.

At its current state, I honestly cannot recommend buying Fairground Online, especially not for 30 euros.

If you want a fairground simulator experience that actually feels more stable and enjoyable, stick with Virtual Rides 3 instead. It may be older, but at least it feels more complete and less chaotic.

Fairground Online could have been something special, but right now it feels like wasted potential buried under poor management, weak security, instability, and an unhealthy attitude toward its own community.

The game has potential but needs way more batteries/cakes. I refunded it for now because the lack of products.

I bought it and the customizations you can have are wonderful again, the bad part is that this ride is just boring to control. I understand there are people who absolutely love this, but for me, it was fun to play with 3 times. Anyway, take my money and bring us more of these sweet goods! Keep up the good work!
