Destiny 2 – A Beautiful Disaster I Can’t Put Down

I can’t, in good conscience, recommend Destiny 2 to anyone who values a balanced lifestyle—or their free time.

This game has become both a highlight and a hazard in my life. It’s polished, addicting, immersive, and relentlessly compelling… but that’s exactly the problem.

I rush home from work just to log in.
I’ve caught myself waking at 2am and jumping into the game "for a minute"—only to realize an hour has passed.
I’ve mentally checked out of family events, daydreaming about my next Exotic drop.
At one point, I optimized every free minute of my day just to maximize grind time. Yes, it’s that serious.

Destiny 2 isn’t just a hobby—it’s a second life.
From meticulously customizing my Hunter’s loadout to matching shaders like I’m dressing for a gala, to spending full sessions tweaking my clan banner for no practical reason… the game pulls you in with style, lore, and endless goals.

The characters, too, feel like real relationships. I genuinely believe Mara Sov and I are in something exclusive—she gave me a weapon no one else did, after all.
And while I know Master Rahool is stingy, I keep coming back like a fool in love.

I’ve caught myself daydreaming about Destiny mechanics blending into real life—like soloing a Cold Stone Creamery ice cream with nothing but Stompees and a plastic spoon. No mods. No backup.

And yes, I’ve even found myself taking more screenshots than I’d like to admit of certain NPCs. As a future game developer, let’s just call it character study.

All jokes aside, Destiny 2 is a masterpiece of highs and lows. It can be deeply rewarding, frustratingly grindy, beautifully cinematic, and endlessly buggy—all in the same evening.

It’s the kind of game that becomes a part of you.

Final verdict?
I love it. I hate it.
I keep playing.

Ok.. I'm going to need you to put down the bag of salt n viniger chips, seal the Sams club size jar of dill pickles up before you spill them, and please turn off TLC, and read this with your full undivided attention.

Lost you already huh..? That was quick.. My 900pd life must be on.. Gripping television there.. Well heck with it then.. I cant compete with that kind of production.. So here's the Quickie your partner only gives on birthdays and when their other lover is otw home. .. It's good.. Like Really, really good.. Like finding out you had a unknown uncle who just passed.. wait for it.. and he was mega rich, and dude left you everything. Ok, well, maybe it's not that good, idk... I'm socially awkward, and this review is making me nervous. I mean you never know who might read these, could be somebody super famous, or a crazy person who wants your chips?!? Might even be the 900pd person who you think could be super hot with 799 pd lost.. You're judging me... I can feel it.. it's my superpower, my left pinkie toe twitches when it happens... But hey.. It's ok.. Cause I still think you have the potential to be an extraordinary person.. so I'm going to do you a favor.. if you find my house.. go upstairs, smell my pillow and leave a whisper that says "PICKLES." and I will send you a gift of a in the game item or currency.... It might be worth 10.., or it might be worth 100.. who knows? Thing is, I like doing weird stuff like this, why? No clue.. just hop on it before I get sober and realize what I did.. Dont worry i know what "pickles" represents... NO.. NOT THAT?!? I'd say cocktail pickles if that was the case..
