Amazing game. I'm so glad it's back on Steam!

I'm only a few hours in but this is what I think so far:

It's really good.

I hated the intro and I put the game down for a few weeks. It was messy chaotic, and just irritating. But once the feel for the game seeped in and I got into the groove, its clearly a very well made game.

I dislike the new direction of the RE games. RE7 was great, but didn't feel like RE. This game feels like an even further departure from the original series. Reading some other reviews I can see that this makes people butthurt. I think Capcom is addressing this by releasing the REmakes, which are 10/10.

Overall, this game is fantastic and I recommend it, but if you're an RE elitist who can't handle change, then you might not like it.

You know what? It's really fun.

Yes, the game is "dead" but on a Friday night there were enough players to start a game and we had a blast. We played for a couple hours and had a great time.

It needs work. This feels more like an Alpha, but again, we had a blast. Its free, just try it.

November 17th and the game is actually dead. The 3 of us queued up solo and still couldn't get into a match after 5 minutes. Too bad, it was fun back in July.

This is what a "Remasterpiece" is.

A good sequel. It feels just like the first game, which is good and bad.

Graphically, the game is stunning and each little detail feels hand crafted for the player. The physics are improved and the sense of mother nature is much more prominent, like you are at her mercy. Almost everything feels like a version 2.0, improving upon the original games design. We played 7 hours straight last night and I often thought to myself, "This feels just like the good ol' days, but better."

However, it's still in early access and you can feel it. There are bugs, albeit not many. There are game mechanics and functions that I would call... questionable. But above all, it doesn't feel like... WOW. Could be that I had to mark the release day on my calendar multiple times, because of multiple delays, but I kind of expected a more polished game.

Over hyped? For me it probably was, but I can't help it. I wanted to play this game so badly.

Anyways, this game gets my "Buy this you idiot" approval.

It's good so far but I also think this is the type of game that will be better played the first time with a full-release.

I love Elder Rang almost harder than Derk Sods

I played this on an Index. It was pretty neat, however, the controls were wonky. It's free and I recommend anyone who isn't a complete VR noob to try it.

Impressively unique locomotion mixed with a very basic game from your childhood. Somehow, it's a masterpiece.
