MEC's got cut out and basically returned for a fee, and this wasn't good enough, so they took 1 DLC most people wanted (which should have been part of the base game) and stuck it with 2 people didn't want (ALIEN HUNTERS , Anarchy’s Children)
in the XCOM 2: Reinforcement Pack, charged the price of 2 of the DLC's, and removed the option to buy only the one anyone wants

A free game that has been more fun that any triple A game I have played, i pick this up and play it for dozens of hours if not more every year at least, and it will always get my steam nomination

Early Access Review
It's gotten a bit cluttered up with things like dding drivable cars, but still fun to play every so often and a great game

It's fun enough, it's just chess but lets you attack after you made your move and use special abilities, so you could kill a piece even if you could not take it with a normal chess move, normal chess 'kills' are automatic though

I use to play tekken to see all the endings with every character... that's gone now, the "VS" is just 4 fights and credits, no 'ending' I don't know why games that got big as arcade fighters have seemingly thrown in "VS" as a cheap afterthought, the game's main focus is on a single 'story mode' not one per character, just one story mode, in which you sit through 5 min of cut scene to fight for less than 1 min, and sit through more cut scenes. It seems like they just wanted to make a tekken movie, and a shadow of 'arcade/Vs' mode was tacked on at the end just to say they have one, every button press seems to be a combo, controls are sloppy, moves continue on for multiple hits even after you've stopped pressing anything. If I hadn't got this off humblebundle I would have refunded it with 1.2 hrs on the clock, as of now if I play more it'll probably just be playing the bowling mode long enough to get all the card drops (yes, there is a bowling game included but no character endings since somebody thought that was a good choice)

I only just bought the game with all the DLC, and i've only used bear calvary so far (but played against bears and ghosts).

I couldn't make the physical cards close enough (unless i printed all physical ones on paper so it wasn't obvious who had what) but i sketched up rules for a faction that behaves a lot like the bears (lots of mobility and forcing the moving of cards) so very happy to see them working well in game.

I don't understand why the reviews for this are mixed.

if yo played the physical card game before, you know exactly what to expect.

It's a fun game where you get 2 factions, each with strengths and weaknesses, and you shuffle them together to make 1 playable deck, some naturally compliment each other more, but creative use of special abilities can yield surprisingly good combinations.

the only downside (at least over the physical game) is that there aren't as many DLC booster options yet and they seem to be rolling out at a slow pace
