Early Access Review
Developers are locking forum posts and silencing people complaining about telemetry being in a single player game. Would not buy for that alone.

For the game itself, while it is fun to an extent, the gameplay gets repetitive quickly and not worth $10, especially given there being lots of asset flipping, namely identical music and voice lines compared to the actual DRG. I'll still play it because I enjoy it, but if I didn't pass the two hour mark I would've refunded without hesitation for GSG's response alone.

EDIT 1: DRG:S Moderators are locking threads and banning people for complaining about the gameplay itself. (1) (2)

EDIT 2: Developers removed a voiceline that was in the original game for the longest time ("Die like your mother did!") for no apparent reason.

EDIT 3 (20 Feb 24): Developers are now banning people for ridiculing their decisions with the voice line removal.

Starbreeze has to be the most ungrateful developers out there as this DLC is literally the rewards that people got for gambling and losing $40-90 on a game from a studio on the verge of bankruptcy with... Spitting in their face by releasing the cosmetics as DLC for everyone.

Do not give Starbreeze another penny of your money.

Never bothered to even actually playtest outside of the last minute. Lobbies are still broken, bugs are still frequent. At least the gameplay is extremely fun...

Have you ever played a game where you were initially invested, but as you played more you became more disappointed with what was in it? Prodeus is one of those games.

The graphics are an absolutely goregous blend of 90's Boomer Shooter games with enhanced animations/gore/effects/etc. The weapons are fun to use with diverse alt-fires, even if some "inspiration" for a few weapons was drawn by classic DOOM, which this game does a lot.

Speaking of DOOM inspiration, many of the enemies are straight-up copy/pastes of DOOM enemies: Imps, Gunners (both normal and minigun), Pinkies, Cacodemons, Pain Elementals are all in this game under the guise that they're different enemies.

Checkpoints do not restore the status of the level when you died, so the game is just a breeze for the most part. This has been a complaint people have had since Early Access, but was never addressed, and the usual fanboys rushing in to defend with their "don't like the trivial difficulty from developer incompetence? just play permadeath mode bro" excuse.

Early-mid game is definitely fun, even with all the aforementioned issues, but the last few levels were an absolute slog to play because the game just spammed massive health sponges in claustrophobic areas, which I feel like they did to compensate for the lack of a proper checkpoint system. The maps in general were very inconsistent a-la DOOM 2: one map is very fun to play through, then the next is an absolute snorefest.

The game also has a UGC system, which I have not given a try yet, but I imagine it's hampered by the same issues of enemies being DOOM reskins and unfinished checkpoints.

Not even close to worth the full price. I got it on a 25% sale and even then I felt that it was too pricey. Just play a Brutal Doom total conversion at this point.

Does not work at all, even when restarting OW2 twice. No refunds, either for it. :shivahstar:

EDIT: DLC works now, but the missions that were supposed to be free but are not, are mediocre at best. Same length as the free ones, but a bit more dynamic. Even with the $10 worth of premium currency, which I believe is an excuse they tacked on to make the egrigious price seem reasonable, $5 is still too much for maybe an hour at most of missions.

Dungeon Defenders is one of many examples of where even after developers abandon the game, the community manages to keep it alive.

If you must play this game, install Wonderlands Redux and disable dialogue. Other than that, Wonderlands is not worth getting, unless it's on a massive sale, which has not happened as of writing this review.

This game is effectively the equivalent for BL3 as of what TPS was for BL2; a few new and fun gimmicks, but heavily bogged down by lack of content and eventual neglect by Gearbox. 40 level cap with substituting actual levels for an infinitely upwards damage buff through exp grind, and only two skill trees at most, although you can mix-and-match different "classes" with each other, and all of the DLCs are just one single thirty-minute dungeon; far less content than BL2's Headhunters, and for well over triple the price, too.

At least there's no Ava in it...
