As I write this, I have just finished the main story of KCDII and I am blown away.

Like so many, I went through the "Baptism of Fire" that was the first title and loved the challenge, the strategy, the open world, and the heart of the story that enabled us to see the through the eyes of our intrepid hero, Henry of Skalitz, as he traversed through the land, seeing Talmberg, Sasau, Rattay, and even of course Uzhitz. We went through how revenge fueled his underlying quest as he fulfills the internal promise of avenging his parents and his home, along with his new bound duties to his lords, and, his actual father.

KCDII expands upon this further, and I was so blown away and where this journey has taken me. It is so beyond what I expected of this title. I had internal thoughts that Warhorse Studios was going to knock this out of the park, but darn it if they haven't made probably one of my most favorite titles ever to come out in my gaming experience. The twists and turns at every step of the way, the alliances you have to forge just as much as the skill you dedicate to reforging Henry into a weapon of justice, a person of the people, a hand of the nobles. The score is both breath taking and incredible and it ebs and flows and swells as tensions rise and celebration swells. The graphics superb to the point where at times, it doesn't feel simulated. Every leaf, flower, blade of grass, and the attention to detail of marbling, wood work, paints, weathering and like is so incredible that it makes me want to see the now ruins of Trosky or experience the overwhelming excitment of Kuttenburg, now known as Kutná Hora. And of course, I loved the combat and how much more fluid it felt by comparison to the predecessor.

But to top it all of, its the story that is SOOOO gripping. I know this seams like a must for many video games of this genre, an adventure/first person fighting/RPG, and open world, but I was in literal tears at the stories end. Without spoiling anything, there is an underlying honor system for you to experience, and I was overwhelmed with emotions of happiness, sadness, and a sense that the efforts I put into beating this game was somehow matched with the outcome that unfolded. There are few games out there that make me feel like this and you can bet that I will replay this title again and again for sure, but even more so that I will be here, wallet at the ready, for if that day comes that Warhorse announces KDCIII.

Seriously, if you are pondering this game, do yourself a favor, pick it up, sit down, and enjoy one of, if not the BEST medieval RPG and action adventure game ever made.

Illdentis Fortuna Iuvat!!!

No Man's Sky has since the beginning been one of my favorite open-world games in recent years and given the concept and vision, it continues to amaze me we each update. I've hosted this game very briefly on my Youtube channel way back when it first came out but given the recent updates with Echoes and such, it's a wonderful strategy game too with a grand sense of discovery.
