This is a game that does everything it set out to do passably, but falls short of excelling in any one area. It's worth a few bucks to kill a few hours, and the narrator got a few chuckles out of me, but the story doesn't do anything exceptional. There's a permeating sense of okayness throughout the game, but I really wish it went harder on its themes or had stronger characters. I feel like there's a decent amount of potential that isn't really being used to its fullest.

This extends to the gameplay as well. I see what they were going for - a 2D, character-action-style beat-em-up that while occasionally satisfying doesn't push far enough to really become something special. The higher difficulties are also unsatisfying, falling into the trap of "just raise the health lmao." A "revengance difficulty" or something similar could really make this game something exceptional, but as it stands it feels like it falls short.

All of this isn't to say that this game is horrible and you should never play it. It doesn't overstay its welcome and it has a few good moments, but overall doesn't quite manage to hit any real highs. For a couple bucks, I'd say you get your money's worth, but other games do what this game tries to better.
