35 minutes played half of which is trying to solve the litany of issues this game has. Had to troubleshoot the login process and had to turn on local network access on the login webpage (concerning that I had to do that just to login). Then went through the tutorial but found myself getting stuck in place repeatedly, with the only fix being to restart the game (I had to do this multiple times, the reset position button doesn't do anything to alleviate this issue). Camera movement is unresponsive at times, I found myself clicking the RMB multiple times just to move the damn camera. Overall has potential, but it is buggy and unoptimized. EDIT: I happened to play this game when it was snowing in game. A requirement for the gardening hobby is to water 8 plants. I can't complete this requirement because the game is designed to where your plants are automatically watered in snow or rain. So I have no choice but to wait until A. One of my neighbors haven't watered their crops or B. Wait until the damn snow clears in game. Mind you all this trouble just to progress in a MAIN STORY QUEST!!! What a bunch of ♥♥♥♥, this game is a waste of time. Save yourself the trouble and just play Rune Factory 4 Special.

Basically Dragon's Dogma with a new coat of paint. The gameplay and the quality of the writing remains the same from the first game.

So this is a good game. Story is great and the graphics are amazing. Just one huge problem. When loading up a save the game goes to a black screen. So? Simple fix right? Just reload from a checkpoint instead of the save file. Well the issue also occurs when you do that as well. So you're basically stuck until there's a fix which who knows when it'll arrive. I've seen at least 5 other users report the same issue with no fixes suggested. If you intend on buying the game in its current state, I would highly recommend against it, unless you're okay with not being able to load into your game and play any further after a certain point.

This game demonstrates the values of resilience and being consumer friendly. No DLCs. No microtransactions. Just a universe for you to explore. The NEXT update certainly made the game leaps and bounds better (played the older version on my friend's Playstation). I'd say that the revival of this game was well deserved and I appreciate the developers for committing to improving the game instead of just giving up after initial scathing reviews.

On another note, to the guy who shot me dead with their starship while I was just starting on a new save, ♥♥♥♥ you.
