TL;DR: Just bad.

- Other suika games are better, incl. free ones.
- If you have cat obsession or something maybe you'll like it?
- Would write more in-depth review, but honestly even that ain't worth the time with this one.

TL;DR:
- It's good, and it's still good.
- Great for co-op with friends, semi-friends as well as randoms. (Which can't be said about many games.)

Other:
- Sale prices are damn worth it, incl. a lot of the DLC.
- Semi-realistic semi-arcadish shooter / heist simulator. It's fun.
- Some DLCs are really good, some are mostly worthless. All the mission expansions are nice though.
- Steam was not tracking the time, got over 1k hours at this point.

Negatives:
- Game is 100GB "big". (The content warrants that though.)

TL;DR:
- Pretty bad, but decent as free mini-game.
- Worth trying if you like those games.
- Download size and potato performance might be an issue though.

Pros:
- Beep beep beep beep, ka-ching!
- Great product packaging.
- You learn a thing or two of the sadness of business world.

Cons:
- Runs like potato even on lowest settings.
- Cumbersome to "enter" and "leave" computer and cashier stations, instead of making that semi-seamless.
- Instant supplier shipping is tad unrealistic.
- Keybindings can't be customized.
- Semi-crappy UX.
- 1GB download?!

TL;DR TL;DR:
- Pretty good game at sale price, but onboarding sucks.

TL;DR:
- Get it alone (solo)? Nah.
- Get it with friend to co-op over voice? I guess.

- If you can get it for $15 on sale and got a friend that will _actually_ play this with you, it's okay. After few days you can just go solo if you like.
- Joining public games as new players ruins the progression aspect mostly.

Cons:
- Overpriced.
- Season 4 sucks.
- Casual racism (hello??!!!) - Like built in to the game. Tha ♥♥♥?
- Bad onboarding.
- Too dumb and simple once you learn it.
- Netcode bad - lag will make you teleport, bounce, rubberband, etc. (I know action games where it only makes you miss your shots, but that's it - which is needed to be fair against cheaters. But DRG makes you regret playing.)

Pros:
- Once you know it it's too dumb and simple. (Can be a pro or a con, depends).
- It runs or (relateively) lower end PCs. Need an "OK" CPU though.

- Really good for a free game.
- Better than other paid games.

- Sometimes quirky, but in the long run it adds to the fun.

"Just try it!"

"Get it on great sale so you can play it with others when the opportunity happens, otherwise save the cash."

- It's pretty good, but you may have issues with network disconnection, and no possibility to reconnect.

---

Game disconnects because of "network". No way to reconnect to existing game.
Happens repeatedly, but not always. If the game can't handle hiccups and does not have a way to reconnect to existing game with friends, it ruins the main concept of the game, being a game to play with your friends without actually remaking the game again and again or waiting for the rest to finish. That's kinda lame, NGL.

Usually I don't rate and don't like rating things negative, but there are things core to the games that they gotta do.
Given this game is "stable" (version 8!) there is no excuse.

Great Rouge-lite.

Edit: Updates fixed a lot of bugs and re-balance made it much more fun. Some mechanics were also changed (improved). It's a fun game.

Would love more from the game, but at the same time I find it great enjoyable past time that is playable during breaks or other activities. Yearning for more variety and non-bullet hell challenges and spice though.

Beginning and first weapons are kinda unfun to me.
But after an hour or so it picked up, and with the new weapons I got stuck playing for hours enjoying myself sniping and shotgunning the enemies.

(Haven't finished the game yet.)

Visuals:
- Good / Great.
Given the pixel style, better suited for smaller screen or at distance.

Sound:
- Good / Great.
Good sound effects, not tiring. Decent music that you can tune down and replace if feeling like it.

Other features:
- Multiple progression aspects.
- 3+ distinct currency "groups".
- Runs on Deck/Linux.
- Takes little disk space (<1GB) and is easy to run.

Remarks:
- Some smaller bugs remain.
- Sometimes jump over water glitches. You can pick up baby Axolotl while you already carry one, gitching it a bit.
- Default keybinds on keyboard are not optimal, especially spacebar for dash on cheap keyboards.
- Adding C keybind for switching weapons complains about used key (but it's not in the controls?!), however the game allows you to add the the keybind anyways.
- XZ menu controls are problematic/annoying on non QWERTY layouts or custom keybinds / minimal custom keyboards.
- Can't change keybinds ingame, only main menu.

Other:
- Price wise personally worth at half price (and I am usually very cheap on games).
- Turns into bullet hell few biomes, kind of. Some people are not fans of that.
- It does use the "classic" formula to appeal to varied audiences - Two variants of combat: One harder, one easier. Cute features and non-combat activities. Mostly theme and language agnostic.
- Voice overs would be nice to add a (???) touch.
- Kid mode would be lovely to have in the game (simple, easy, no-achievement mode).
- I need more sleep now, It's 2 AM.

(Might revise the review as needed, but my recommendation will stay positive unless the game breaks.)

It's OK

What a lot of people already do with Wallpaper Engine + Spotify, but as an app

Pros:
  • Simple.
  • Decent chill songs.
  • Soundscapes.
  • Easy achievements.
  • ~ 100MB.
  • Free.
  • Linux, Mac support.
  • Does not need Steam running (see link below).

Cons:
  • Only one, hipster, styling.
  • Head movements distracting.
  • Lights can't be set to static color.
  • Can't mix rain and wind sounds.
  • FPS hit when ran concurrently with other games.
  • Needs time/zone offset functionality. Changing system clock is a no-no.

Bottomline:
If it's up your alley, think you may like it, or want easy achievements, try it.
Alternative:
Wallpaper engine + YouTube/Spotify + any soundscape solution (if not part of a wallpaper). More flexible too.

Non-Steam:
For the Dev:
Workshop support would be nice, ideally without need for any development SDKs.

The only clicker that keeps me coming back

Pros
  • Monsters, actual monsters
  • Sound are actually nice
  • Pretty cute
  • Pleasant graphics
  • Easy to navigate GUI
  • 75MB installed

Cons
  • Guilds are not simple to find
  • Achievements are a little ♥♥♥♥♥ stretch
  • All other cons are pretty much fixed

Bottomline
Play clickers? Get it. Don't play clickers? Try it.

Not bad

Pros:

Cons:
  • Unity, "The seal of quality." [not really]
  • Eats a lot of GPU

Bottomline
If you like clickers, it might be for you.
