Little Nightmares is a game I can wholeheartedly recommend!

It’s a short platformer with some light puzzle elements throughout.

I played the game using a controller and would recommend that to anyone planning to try it. The controls felt very smooth and were only slightly imprecise in a few spots – especially when precise timing was needed. In those moments, I sometimes felt like the controller couldn’t quite keep up. Overall, though, the controls weren’t clunky, and the gameplay remained fluid.

The dark atmosphere is masterfully crafted. The visuals are stunning, and the music in each section matches the mood perfectly. Since this is a horror game, there are occasional jumpscares that genuinely caught me off guard. However, the game relies more on atmosphere than on a constant barrage of scares – and it pulls this off exceptionally well.

One of the game’s most compelling elements is how much room it leaves for interpretation. You’re encouraged to piece together your own understanding of the story, which makes the experience all the more immersive.

There’s a clear sense of slow progression throughout, which I personally found very satisfying. The tension builds steadily and effectively.

All in all, I can highly recommend Little Nightmares – even if some sections are tricky and may cause occasional frustration.
