Fun little Halo clone.

Fun game, shame it died.

Good easily navigable user interface.
Can instantly select and fast travel to any race in the game.
Solid arcade physics.

tl;dr This game is a borderline scam and is the worst racing game in existence. You'd have more fun playing Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing.

Game is locked to 60 fps max. Completely unacceptable for a racing game.
You can't fast travel anywhere because the option is always greyed out.
Hands down the worst user interface I've ever seen in a racing game. How the ♥♥♥♥ do I even join a race? Most of the activities are locked and all the muscle car activities are not races.

This seems to be a game about driving around an island and taking pictures, not racing. You literally can't even do any races at all in the car you bought and customized. You can only do races in cars the devs want you to race in. Whoever designed this game is a frequent consumer of lead.

The game is a mixed bag.

• The way they intertwine campaign and operations missions is neat.
• The animations are quite good.
• The game looks great and is decently optimized.
• The sound design is nice when the dynamic audio levels aren't drowning sound effects out.
• The story is a decent follow up to Space Marine 1.
• They nailed the feeling of being an 8 foot tall super human in power armor.
• Ranged combat feels great.


• The difficulty just feels cheap. You're constantly swarmed by dozens of enemies and have to react to every single one of them and their color coded attacks in a fraction of a second, and even then you sometimes still get hit anyway when you dodge on queue or your parry whiffs and you're left vulnerable. This makes the vast majority of the game a relatively unenjoyable slog to play through.
• Some enemies are overly bullet spongey, particularly Tzaangors. Higher difficulties only make this problem worse since higher difficulties buff enemy HP.
•Some weapons in operations are so bad when un-upgraded they're nearly unusable, so it's hard to level them to the point where they're useful.
• Progression between operations and PVP is completely separate. You also have to completely re-create your armor and colors between each mode since they don't carry over.
• You get absolutely nothing for replaying campaign levels, not even a small amount of currency for unlocking stuff.
• You can't pick which traitor legion you play as in PVP since they are class locked.
• The chainsword is so quiet it basically makes no noise and hence doesn't feel good to use.
• You can be hit in the middle of gun strike animations which is insane to me. You're fully invincible while in execution animations, but not gun strike anims. This means that you can't shoot at all in a certain direction if there is a marked enemy or else you risk getting hit by something you can't react to.
• You can get stunlocked in a way that feels completely unintentional, design wise.
• There is no target prioritization system so krak grenades and grapple hook frequently get wasted on trash mobs because the game targets low tier enemies when you're trying to target a nid warrior or rubric marine
• They made you pay extra to play on the actual release date.

All boiled down, this game tries to be a dark souls clone combined with a horde shooter except they also make the enemies bullet (or melee) sponges. It just doesn't work and it feels like absolute ♥♥♥♥ to play on higher difficulties.

Honestly the worst and most needlessly difficult mod kit Bethesda has ever released. Why the ♥♥♥♥ do I need to make ini changes TO UNLOCK BASIC FEATURES OF THE MOD KIT?
In addition to that, doing things that were incredibly easy in previous mod kits is seemingly impossible as no one in the community has been able to figure it out. Literally the simplest ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ things are esoteric knowledge now.

Best 2D fighting game.

♥♥♥♥ doesn't work, doesn't show up at all when I'm trying to select cores.

This "game" is 90% cutscenes, and what little gameplay there is is pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ boring. Just mash on X, and occasionally dodge and use an ability till you win. This isn't Final Fantasy, this isn't even Devil May Cry. Who exactly were they trying to appeal to?

Building things is so needlessly clunky.
