Very, very pretty. The settings are gorgeous, no two ways about that. The mechanics are enjoyable, if a bit clunky. Often the only real strategy you can use is to stand still and parry everything, which can be fun in itself but does feel a bit limiting when other approaches don't seem to be as effective. The masks system is really cool though, letting you mix class-like masks and stat-adjusting Aspects with a selection of passive skills to shape your approach.

Definitely worth a play, especially if you want to explore a beautiful setting the likes of which doesn't appear often.

In my opinion, it's a better Torchlight 3 than Torchlight 3. Some fun build options, MTX isn't onerous, interesting new mechanics in each season, definitely worth a try.

I can't put this one down. It's stylish, it's smooth, the weapon customization is intriguing, and it's about as close to a Bloodborne 2 as we're going to get, probably.

I like where they've gone with this. It's not as deep as, say, Grim Dawn, but it has its own charm. With two skill trees, a relic tree, pet skill and three legendary skills on top of set gear and uniques, there's a lot of room to experiment with builds in this, but not so complex as to intimidate someone from experimenting.

There really isn't another game quite like Let It Die. It's got a Souls-ish combat system, but.. not really? There's microtransactions, and they're in your face, but.. I also haven't yet felt like I -have- to get them to progress. If anything, there's something of the "try to keep up" drive that many of those city building mobile games have, where you often come back to your base to find it's been attacked. But you don't really lose that much when you are attacked, so.. it's all good. And it really scratches that "make the numbers bigger" grinding itch with an entertaining combat system to grind within and a completely bonkers setting that has me intrigued. So I say it's at least worth a play.

You don't need me to tell you how much progress this game has made since its mangled launch. It's come so far and very much worth a play.

-- The Pepsi to EVE Online's Coke --

Have you ever played EVE Online? Then you'll immediately recognize this game. This is not a bad thoing though. What I like is the lack of monthly subscription, so if you liked EVE and wanted to be a more casual or passive player but were discouraged by paying for it monthly, this could be for you.

I can't personally speak for the PvP, though, since I'm definitely the mining/harvesting sort, but I can say I'm happy with the gathering mechanics at least.

This is quite clever and leaves with with all sorts of interesting questions. It really gets you thinking. It's the sort of story that you really need to experience first-hand, without spoilers, to get the full impact. For me, it's easily worth the price for the story it's telling.

It doesn't really paint on the 4th wall the same way The Stanley Parable does, but it does make you question what you've seen and what you think about it.

This game really surprised me when I played it. I'm not one much for deathmatchy shooters in general, but the customization add a nice bit of connection to the game, and the destuctible environments ensure that no two matches play out quite the same. It's especially fun to collapse an entire skyscraper on top of the enemy team (and your own..) I never felt like I was just beating my head against an unwinnable wall like I do in other shooters.
