This is the closest game to Civilization in space (I mean it has 'Civilization' in the tittle). As with Civ, the game is kinda goofy, not exactly realistic or modeling real space in any way, and factions are all humanoid. That being said, the mechanics are rock solid and the performance is great. Customization is probably at the level of Stellaris, if we talk about designing your own ships in particular.

If you're looking for a Civ in space with more traditional 4X features with great customization, and good performance, this is your game. Total bargain if you grab it on sale.

Definitely the best Assassin's creed game since Brotherhood. The ship mechanics were a nice addition that it feels like a new game, without losing the feel of the franchise. On the downside, the combat mechanics are ridiculously easy. The game is not particularly hard, it's actually pretty easy, especially if you don't try to achieve full synchronization. Overall a must buy if you like the franchise, but If you don't and you're looking for a challenge this is not the game for you.

This is a great example of how to combine game mechanics with a story. Some games have a reputation of having a great story but lacking game mechanics, The Walking Dead or Gone Home come to mind, and other games have no story whatsoever but the mechanics are strong. This is not any of those games. This is a game that shows that you can combine the mechanics with a story and the result is just wonderful. It doesn't even matter the game is short. I'm hoping more game developers learn from this game and we can see more of this in the future. Highly recommended.

I got this game by selling items. I can't believe I got this gem for free. I even feel kinda guilty because it kinda feels I stole it.

Great game. This is a great execution of a typical AAA game. The story is somewhat cheesy, the characters are quite predictable sometimes, and everybody is one dimensional. But everything else is pretty much great. The puzzles feel challenging without being impossible, the enemies are difficult enough (I played in normal), and the RPG elements in the game are well connected and the mechanics are in place. Definitely a game worth playing.
