Steam client just dropped an update that stops it from working on Windows 8.1 im told, so im guessing it might also not work on Win7 either. Just a heads up.

EDIT: Turns out that this currently only appears to apply to Win8.1 but you might want to look up some info about how to prevent the Steam client from updating on launch if you have not already.
