Apsolutely forgettable.

Everybody needs to understand that old games shouldn't be forgiven because they're 20+ years old. This game has huge problems and is sometimes literally unplayable. Even 20 years ago, games were sh1.1T! GTA 3 is a forgettable game. The only positive thing it did is introduce GTA to the 3D world and let us have masterpieces that came right after it, but GTA 3 alone is utter mess. From collision detection problems, silly police AI that slams into you and flies off instead of ramming you, aiming system is utter mess with auto-snapping to targets even on a controller, overpowered weapons that have no sense to exist other than having fun after finishing the game, some cars have terrible handling for no reason, missions having apsolute no explanation of what to do which at the same time have no briefing even after finishing the mission cutscene...you're not missing out on anything. The steam number of players...At the time of writing, GTA 3 is standing at 40 players, Vice City on 400 and San Andreas on 600.

If you think i'm talking BS, just look at Vice City which came out only 1 year after GTA 3 which doubled in content and tripled in quality. In which...Vice City was probably in development already just a little before GTA 3 was released. And had the same game size.

Goods:
- If you ever watched 'The Sopranos', you'll hear alot of fimiliar voices. There was quite alot of appearances
- Introduced GTA to 3D universe which gave us everything else...
- Many times it may can hilarious as GTA 3 had a more sarcastic and simple approach. Later installments had it too, but also wanted to tell the story
- Weapons are overpowered, but somewhat satisfying

Bads:

- Get stuck between 2 cars because of collision
- Get shot down by every mafia/colombian/diablo gang on the side of the street and wreck your car
- Get slammed by the cops for no reason with no mission to bust you, but rather to play 'Twisted Metal' with you
- Get shot by NPCs that have M4's and AK-47 with pinpoint accuracy even from questionable distances that never miss shots and destroy your vehicles long before you can even get out
- No bailing out of cars. Impossible to bail out of the car and survive if your car is on fire
- Rain. Hurts your eyes
- No honorable characters other than maybe Phil and Salvatore
- Lack of mission objective clarity. If you start a mission and skip a cutscene or you're playing on a language that isn't your main one, you won't understand jack s.h.
- Cutscenes sometimes have completely different words in subtitles from spoken words. Many subtitles were not changed on time
- Some missions have bloopers such as the one with collecting mafia/blaze/sentinel car in which it says to pick up a diablo Infernus which doesn't exist, while in actuality it's the blaze stallion car.
- In the mentioned blooper missions, the game never tells you where to find specific cars and why you need them. It's up to you to scout, roam and explore the world beforehand to know where cars are. Those missions happen early in the game and at that time, there's no need to explore the map so much since there's nothing else to do but THOSE missions
- No big map
- Slow AmmuNation weapon buying
- Many many more...


I won't mention graphics, it was 2001 and frankly it looks just fine for that age and even maybe ahead of it's time but the mechanics, system and AI in this game is just apsolute garbage...Play it only if you don't expect anything and you've passed all other GTA titles and this is the only one that's left incompleted.

Completely dead, unfortunately. Although, i tried it but never had any servers to play. Peak in 24h is only 13-14 players. 27 all-time high in a week. No luck unless you get like 10-20-30 friends on discord server to join up on the fun. To be honest, the weapons feel quite good but...scoping is utter mess. No smoothing, moves pixel by pixel and wouldn't be able to touch anything in between the grid. Felt like GTA Vice City scoping if you ask me. Performance could be improved, quite an FPS hitter and not alot of graphics settings to change. Movement a little bit slugish but this is a more realistic pathmaker of shooters. All in all, the system could improve but good luck with that when there's no players...RIP

I just like it, i don't care about cheaters or some imbalances. I'm a new player that just enjoys this sh1z
