It's not even worth writing a comprehensive review, the devs won't read it nor care.

We wanted Skate 4, not this iPad kid, G-rated, fortnite slop. They really thought skateboard culture would love an AI narrator.

-Edited to add-
I tried to give this multiple attempts to win me over and honestly, it just sucks.

The controls of this are the biggest letdown followed only by the elementary puzzle solving. It feels like the puzzles were so easy, they had to make the controls a bit clunky to extend the playtime.

As well, initially loading the game requires you to add start up properties to even get to see the whole screen.

Bought it on discount, and played it all the way through so I won't be asking for a refund, but will be very wary of other titles now.

Feels like a Valheim meets Diablo.

Would like to see more customization. For starters, in the armor and weapons you unlock. Right now, your vampire family all look the same. No separation of the scholar of the group from the brute. All you get is some headgear or near unnoticeable hair customization. While on the subject of body mods, where are my big boys? I want to be a thiccc (three c's) vampire.

I would also like to adjust the HUD elements, such as being able to change opacity or turn things off entirely. I don't need the top left corner of my screen telling me the mission I am on all the time.

Not being able to carry items in bat form makes the power seem very anticlimactic, considering how far up the boss chain you have to go to get the ability.

Wonderful collectathon with a fun art style and simple/intuitive controls.

The art is really the only pull of this game, even that is skin deep. There is little substance otherwise. Exploring the world turns into fetch quests and very shallow puzzles that feel unfinished.

Mechanically, it does the job. It's not without it's flaws, but it's not enough of a problem to make me stop playing. I would have liked the ability to explore a little more and not have invisible barriers preventing me from climbing on some things I very clearly could have.

Movement animations of the stray, and the NPCs of the game feel "almost there" in terms of believable and fluid.

Visually, it's a very beautiful game. You can tell the developers put effort into making just about everywhere you look a photo worthy scene.

Having completed the game, the story and gameplay are very linear. I would have enjoyed a little more adventure and better puzzle designs. Often the puzzle you're given are "X needs to be placed near Y, however, X is slightly hidden."

Tying visuals and story together, the game does a wonderful job giving you environmental guidance on where you should be going to progress the story.

I am certifiably addicted to this game. And it's still early access. Can't wait for more development!

Pros:
Great pixel graphics
Weapons/Augments are fun to play with and evolve
When they say the game allows you to snowball, they mean it. There are runs that I have such a good build that I don't have to move and just sit back and watch the pixels fill up the screen.
If you want more challenge, they offer a power up that makes the game increase in difficulty.

I'm putting this in the pro's section, while it's still a bit of a con:
You can disable the damage display on screen so you can see your character better which is very appreciated.

Cons:
Extremely nit-picky, but the icon for Armor is not the best. I think it needs to be reworked.

Possible bug with an item you unlock:
When using Gatti Amari I notice that I get injured without an obvious source. I almost think the cats are injuring the player every once and a while as nothing else comes into range to do damage.

Highly recommend this creative platformer! It has puzzles, collectibles, and fun secrets.

Pros:
Controls take very little time to learn and master.
The level design is forgiving yet still appropriately challenging.
The graphics are visually pleasing and adjustable.
You unlock a sticker to spawn in a skateboard anytime you like!

Cons:
I really can't think of anything I found to be a major negative. Maybe just wish it was a little longer? Possibly fleshed out a few more of the puzzle ideas they built in some areas.

While they call it a simulator, it's far more casual than that. Potion Craft has some growth still ahead of it, but the current offering is very enjoyable.

Pretty straight forward intuitive controls/mechanics
The game is very relaxing not only to play, but also to look at and listen to. The sound of your ingredients getting pestled never gets old.

Feedback/Suggestions that would make the game more enjoyable for me:
  • I'm not a fan of the haggling mechanic. I would prefer to have a fallout style dialog that my skill tree can affect. Let me build into persuasion to get more money without a loss in popularity or reputation. Let me build into maybe intimidation, a higher haggle reward but my reputation is hindered because of it.
  • I think causing the customers to wait for you should be taken into consideration for reputation. On occasion, I'll find myself trying to locate an effect on the map for a while, then giving up and sending the customer on their way. I would like to see the amount of reputation or popularity I lose because of that reflect the time they spent waiting on me.
  • Maybe give the potions a shelf life. Older potions maybe sell for less and you have to pour them out after some time. Fresh potions have a premium. Could also build that into the customer request. Maybe they can't afford a high level/fresh out of the cauldron potion.
  • Bartering with customers could be an interesting addition. Run out of a highly used mushroom or flower, see if your customer has some for an exchange.

I wanted something like the old Castelvania titles such as Dawn of Sorrow. Bloodstained: RotN is a fantastic modern reincarnation of those games. Easily becoming one of my favorite metdoidvanias.
