-- SUMMARY --
Path of Exile is an Action RPG developed by New Zealand-based Grinding Gear Games. In this game, you play as one of the several people exiled to the forsaken shores of Wraeclast for various crimes and sins commited against the Order of the Templar. After washing ashore and finding a safe haven for other exiles, your story begins.

-- GAMEPLAY --
Path of Exile features a REALLY big and in-depth passive skill tree and a huge amount of skill gems (Treat them as abilities in any other game), along with over a decade of league mechanics that have stayed in-game after their league (season) has ended, allowing for near-infinite replayability depending on which league mechanic you want to follow.

The monetization isn't predatory, but players suggest spending some real world cash in stash tabs (Extra storage in your storage box, you can buy specific slots that serve different purposes, such as allowing for easier trades between players, or storing certain item types without a set cap)

-- PROGRESSION --
Path of Exile has a ten-act campaign, often called a tutorial by more experienced players. In these ten acts, you will be introduced to most of the current league mechanics, ranging from chests that spawn enemies all the way to literal excavation projects directed by members of the Kalguur. After finishing the campaign, the Exile unlocks the map device, which is where the endgame of PoE plays.

-- NEGATIVES --
Being an Action RPG, Path of Exile can be frustrating to get into for new players, especially after seeing the passive skill tree and watching others play the game, especially during the endgame.

If you want to trade items, you can either go the long route and participate in the official forums, or spend a couple of real world cash on the aforementioned stash tabs (Specifically premium stash tabs, they allow you to list your items for in-game currency items in the official trade site).

-- MY THOUGHTS --
This game is worth your time, if you are willing to learn the basics. I'd rate it a 9.2/10.
