Game doesn't work. Online unavailable, infinite loading screens. Scam product, do not purchase.

Addictive. Deckbuilder with incredibly well balanced choices. There is some RNG so it is possible to be completely screwed during a run, but as you play more and your knowledge grows, you see more and more paths to success to the point that most runs are winnable with the right knowledge and decision making.

If you love weighing pros and cons and turn based combat, this game is quite good.

I wish there was a "maybe" option but since I have to pick yes or no, I'm closer to no, but only barely.

SF6 can be a very fun game but, ultimately, even with the new accessibility introduced by Modern controls, the systems in place are far too unintuitive to recommend to anyone who doesn't already know they'll like this game.

My experience is with World Tour mode and Ranked Match mode.

World Tour mode is good entertainment for a few hours, but the difficulty is on the very easy side. It feels basically like the open world of a Yakuza game with fighting game fights instead of 3D action game fights. This is probably the best part of the game. I just don't think the 70$ price tag is worth it for this mode alone.

Ranked Match mode is the standard 1v1 fighting game mode and matchmaking actually does a pretty good job. Most of the fights feel fair with only the occasional stomp. The problem is, once you reach a reasonable rank the game quickly becomes repetitive and boring, exposing the various flaws in the game's systems. There are so many options available to characters, but realistically, very few of the options make sense and once players reach a level of competency where they know the options and can execute them reliably, matches become a slog, just waiting for someone to make a mistake rather than the aggressive brawling found in the lower ranks. Essentially, there are far too many defensive tools and far too little reward for aggression.

If you are new to fighting games like myself, Modern controls go a long way to open the game up to you. However, it doesn't go far enough. Things like knowing which character's moves come out at certain speeds after being blocked and thus knowing when you can counter attack are never explained. This is a pure trial by fire. If you can figure out the extremely confusing UI, you CAN set some things up in the training mode manually to practice, but this is such a HUGE time sink that very few people will ever do this.

Also, in terms of ranking system, once you hit platinum, things massively slow down due to the removal of points bonuses. Once you've made it to plat with one character, you can try to reach it with the next, but this ends of feeling fruitless and disappointing.

IF you can make some friends to grow with, the vs mode can be a blast while you're growing, but once you're "good enough" you'd better enjoy the "practice for hours to shave .5 seconds off a speedrun" mentality as you reach massive diminishing returns for your time invested.

Overall, this is one of the best fighting games I've played and World Tour mode adds a lot of value, but still not enough for the fighting game genre as a whole to compete with other titles in the gaming industry especially at this price point. For that reason, I would not recommend the game unless you have liked other traditional fighting games in the past. There is a lot of potential here; hopefully SF7 is finally the game to bring fighters to the masses.

My friends told me this was a good game for PvP. It makes no sense, there is no tutorial, and every match is one sided even in unranked. There is no opportunity to learn and everyone will call you slurs. Its like I'm playing league of legends again. If you want to play a good PvP game, this isn't it. PvE seemed like trash too but didn't really play it so I guess I can't really comment on it.

A fairly short game without much real challenge (there are some optional areas which are a huge difficulty spike), but the art style is great and the game is quite fun. There are no checkpoints, so if you die or quit, you start over at the intro town but keep all your hearts, items, and gold.

Upgrades in equipment are scattered around the world which can be purchased for gold or found. They make the game much easier since a high enough armor value almost entirely negates damage. However, you can swap equipment freely, or skip it all together if you want to give yourself an extra challenge.

There is a neat feature where you can swap between the old graphics and the old sound effects instantly on the fly. The old graphics can sometimes reveal secrets that are better hidden with the new graphics.

Overall, if you're looking for a short 2d action platformer with very light RPG elements and an excellent art style, this is a fantastic choice.

Hoooo boy this is a tough one. I loved TLJ and I really liked most of Dreamfall. On one hand, I didn't realistically expect this game to be able to nicely tie up all the loose ends from the previous two games and there were a lot of questions answered. On the other hand, those answers came with evermore questions which is just tiring at this point.

The art direction and many of the characters are interesting, but the game massively lacks atmosphere due to its feeling of emptiness and lack of interaction.

This is only VERY technically not a walking simulator. It is barely recognizable as an adventure game. You do get an inventory, but that inventory never carries over between chapters, and you'll almost always immediately be using anything you pick up. It just feels like this should have been a book or movie. It does nothing interesting as a game, as even the "choose your own adventure" aspects carry minimal impact. A character dies or is replaced with a different one here or there. It has zero effect on the overall events of the story.

In terms of pacing, the "game" has a decent start which putters out towards the middle and then devolves into absolute nonsense and tedium towards the end.

Overall, whether you have played the previous games in this series or not I would HIGHLY recommend just watching a youtube video or reading a plot summary. There is no fun to be had in the actual "playing" of this "game." You will spend 99% of your time walking slowly around empty environments and listening to dialogue. You might as well cut out the tedium of the walking. The story has some interesting parts and you will get a conclusion of sorts to the TLJ saga.

Legitimately funny. Puzzles are mostly fair once you grasp the world's logic. Some nice animation especially compared to earlier SCUMM titles. Great voice acting. Great music. There are a few oddly placed mini games (pirate ship battles), but overall a great adventure game. Expect to take 4-6 hours to complete.

Like playing board games but hate paying for them? Steal them for free with Tabletop Simulator.

Short and sweet, but poses 0 challenge. Everything was straight-forward.
