I recommend this game but with a caveat. The game itself is still a fine SRPG and you *will* get deep into item worlds and spend hundreds of hours trying to go through the postgame. D5 is still the best mechanical game in the series, and a very fun game in its own right.

The lack of online components without being properly notified of them being removed is a black mark against the game, but the game is still enjoyable without them (even if it was to prevent an unwinnable situation).
