Great game, lots of fun to be had.
The combat is a bit similar to X-COM as it uses cover mechanics. Story is quite decent and, in my opinion, not overwhelming even if you're not familiar with the universe - this was my first dive into WH40k and the game offers a good introduction into how things work without going into too many details.

Only downside to the game is the map travel, travelling quickly becomes tedious with the encounters if you're not travelling on safer routes or taking the scenic route with slow jump transitions.

Also don't be like me - it took me about 100 hours of play time to figure out that the combat animations can be sped up in the options. Combat looks great and immerses you in the roleplay but it can be quite slow at times, luckily it can be sped up to the point where character actions and movements are instant.

Obligatory - runs great on Linux out of the box

Early Access Review
It's a good foundation for a fun game but at the moment it's missing any sort of a challenge.

Few bits of feedback without going into spoilers:
The AI is weird - the workers go everywhere randomly
Dunno if the worker level does anything
Most of the factory components are obsolete shortly after you get them
There's no feedback on the cars you make and sell
No known competition to make the game a bit more economy focused
Car's can be priced however you like with no repercussions
Storage (spare parts) management is lacking - you gotta adjust parts you're purchasing each time you change the type of car you're making and sell the unused parts by hand, gets more and more tedious as you go into robotics
The shaded parking is making the cars too difficult to see, would be better if it was just tinted glass
Research progression should be more realistic, I reached the end of the research tree by 1910 without rushing it, I unlocked almost every blueprint. On a similar note, would be nice to be able to continue researching after the end of the tree is reached to unlock anything that was skipped along the way

All in all it's a good foundation, hopefully as more content is added in it'll be even more fun.

Do you like games with no subscriptions coupled with free expansions, free updates, regular events, and a visual style reminiscent of old sci-fi? Then this game is for you.

me: "I'll just play one more turn"
also me, a few hours later: "I'll just play one more turn"

This pretty much sums up my experience with Terraformers, it's an awesome game, addictive in its simplicity

Played it loads as a kid, never managed to finish it. So happy the game got upgraded and released on Steam so I was finally able to get through the end.

Recently there was a major update bumping up the visuals and updating the camera movements, the new movement takes a bit to adjust to but it's well worth it.

NOTE.... you can drop the bow just like you'd drop a shield in the location where you find a better one, Q+ctrl

been a fan of the series since fallout 3, recently got an urge to get back into the fallout world and saw this was on sale...

it's been a while since i regretted buying something as much as this hollow shell built to prey on nostalgia.
sure, probably haven't played it long enough to give a full opinion (<6hrs) but haven't found anything at all that would get me to log back in other than nostalgia. in my experience, the game is way too easy (easily killing super mutants pretty much on level 2), the bits of story it has are uninteresting, the crafting aspects are meh and pointless as far as i can see other than trying to bait you into paying a sub to dodge the inventory management...

if you get the fallout itch, save yourself the time and money, just go back to the older games and have fun

SWTOR is a gift that keeps on giving.
All of the class stories are fun, same goes for the expansion stories as well. Tonnes of content to go through.

Awesome game, lots of fun to be had in tweaking your own defenses while destroying other peoples castles to get resources.
Every map you play is different than the last one so you never know what you can expect which so far is a good cure for repetitiveness that comes with this genre
