Honestly one of the best entries in its genre. Still suffers from a lot of the flaws the vanilla version of the game had, but the combat is still among the deepest in any game I've played mechanics-wise.

If you own the original game, it's definitely worth upgrading to this one. Vergil, Lady, and Trish are all really fun characters, and they're basically the whole selling point

With exactly four cards combined, Kae can get +8 attack. And that's terrifying.

This is a classic fighting game (albeit a really hard one) and apparently if it sells well enough we might get Under Night In-Birth (another really good fighter) on Steam, so PLEASE

Each of these new cards adds a lot to the game, I feel. They do a good job of mixing things up further, fitting considering it's the "mixed" booster pack. Not recommended for beginners, but if you enjoy the game then absolutely get this DLC.

Both of these characters offer a lot of interesting gameplay - Kyousuke plays much like Fernet, except he can turn into a better Yuki temporarily with his hyper (helping you make a comeback if you fall behind, at the risk of others being able to kill you easier). Saki, on the other hand, is heavily based around trap cards - A good Saki will load their deck with traps, so that you're in constant fear. Is that trap a hyper, or a piggy bank?

These are two of the most unique characters in the game, and I absolutely recommend them.

I got this for the 100%oj character and it turned out to be a really good game so it was absolutely worth the money

This game was amazing! Back when it had players, at least. Sadly, the already-struggling game was killed when Uber decided to release Super Monday Night Combat, which was then killed off as well.
I wish this game were still alive. If it were, there'd be reason to play it. There's none, now.

EDIT: I should probably add this to the review: There is still a group on steam that plays the game, but don't expect to see more than one server with people on it -ever- (and I love this group for that, I missed this game so badly), and don't expect to see even that 80% of the time.

An action game which perfectly blends offense and defense, and also you stop 50-foot-long blades with your bare hands and throw a Metal Gear (for those unaware, basically a giant robot) around. Also those last two things happen in the first level. The tutorial, basically. It only gets cooler.

This game was put on Steam in April 2011. We are in the last days of 2014 and it's still in early access. That is over THREE YEARS in early access. Do not support this.

I mean I guess something being in early access for this long could be okay if it gets plenty of love from the developers and actually makes some degree of significant progress, but this hasn't. Its last update was in 2013.

This game is abandonware. Don't bother.
