You know a game is good when the it starts a huge bandwagon of clones and iterations shortly after it's released.

Usually too lazy to review games unless I find something exceptionally worthy and this is one... very impressed with this, easily the best "survivors-like" game I've played so far.... my gameplay time might seem short but that's because I've played the majority of my time on the itch.io beta version.
Highlights:
- Good variation in enemy design and a clean presentation means it's easy to keep track of your character and weapons without the screen turning into a mess. The UI and soundtrack are also outstanding.
- The Dev understands how to to make power scaling work well (bit of influence from Path of Exile in the mechanics and terminology here e.g. crit chance/multi, chain, pierce, cast/proj speed) which means you always have meaningful choices to make regarding how to build and specialise over the course of your run rather than being forced to lean on one or two particular overpowered scaling methods (and lets you do interesting things like scaling armor or health regen yet translating those stats into offensive power).
- Short run length, around 15 mins although you can go much further past winning into an "overdrive" mode if your character is strong and you want to push the limits.
- Meta-progression for both unlocking new content but also allows you to tune the difficulty over a huge number of parameters to tune the gameplay easier or harder as you wish.
Highly recommend to any fans of the genre or adjacent like action rpgs or twin-stick shooters or shmups. Also if you're a fan of deckbuilder or creature collector games check out another game by this dev called Malice & Greed, it's a hidden gem.

Wow I've never been swindled so hard before in my life. This game has about 5 mintues worth of content in it... I played it for 10 and I unlocked all 27 achievements. It contains a single playfield which looks like it was drawn by a child and consists of zero mechanics other than hoping you randomly bounce into gems and the only other content in the game is if you click the only other button than "Start" (scoreboards button) the game instantly crashes with a giant "SOMETHING HAPPENED THAT WE DIDN'T EXPECT TO EVER HAPPEN!" modal with an OK button you can't click becuase the game is crashed. I guess the hilarity of that was worth the $2.50 I payed for it . _ .

Incredible value for money! Highly recommended for fans of shmups or challenging twitch gameplay.

The best roguelike and one of the best games ever made, period. I bought this during the alpha development, so my total gametime is closer to 300 hours plus whatever Steam is reporting. In that time I have yet to discover at least 40% of what this game has to offer. To say this game is deep is an understatement.
