As if modders and cheaters weren't already bad enough in GTA Online, Rockstar's negligence in dealing with these problems has caused things to spiral truly out of control.

Not only are there godmode modders griefing every public lobby; not only did they let an exploit allowing people to forcibly remove you from your lobby into another, even if you were in singleplayer, linger for more than a week; no, not only that, but now these people can alter and corrupt/ban your account as well as remote code execution on your PC.

On a good day, it is almost impossible to play GTA Online in anything other than an invite only lobby. Today, thanks to Rockstar's apathy and incompetence, it is hazardous to play this game at all.

Considering past exploits of a similar nature have also affected people playing singleplayer, I don't believe the game is currently safe to launch.

God help you, you are a mime.

Edit: Real impressions after 37 hours are that this is a fantastic game and it is living up to everything I had hoped for after playing Wasteland 2. Unfortunately, the game is marred with numerous technical issues, ranging from harmless and amusing, to frustrating, to save corruption. Fortunately, I've faced only minor issues and surprisingly only a single crash. I am optimistic that the game's stability will be rectified soon.

It's clear that a lot of love and care went into this game, it's just unfortunate that it doesn't seem to have been given enough time for polish and QA. I am still having a blast, however.

Ever wanted to lead a collection of raider gangs to conquer settlements you already own and otherwise murder/pillage?
No?
Well ♥♥♥♥ you, enjoy the hour of quests where all you do is murder those raiders and not much else. Then you get to walk around an uninspired theme park killing hordes of the same enemies you've already seen before with minor adjustments to textures and models, fetch random items, and ♥♥♥♥-all else.

But if you do want to lead raider gangs, then ♥♥♥♥ you again even harder. You get to run errands for these raiders instead, which amounts to killing hordes of those same slightly retextured/remodeled versions of vanilla enemies, killing random unnamed people, enslaving random unnamed people, fetching more random items, and giving up your own settlements to those raiders.

This must be that "more than $60 worth of new Fallout adventures and features" we were promised when Bethesda increased the price of the season pass. Todd Howard never fails to disappoint.
