This game (and it's editor) inspired me to get into game development which led me to a degree in Computer Science and a successful career in Software Development. Unreal Editor was so cool and mind-blowing to me as a kid. The same kid who just sunk 100 hours into RPG Maker for Ps1. I scripted a custom 'Super' Flak Cannon that would shoot rockets and Flak chunks like a shotgun. I subtracted cubes from BSP and made maps where I would fight bots. It would crash every few hours, but I didn't care. I would get home from school and play with the editor every day. 20 years later I am still messing around with game dev. I don't do it professionally but I find it really fascinating. Thank you Epic MegaGames, Tim Sweeny and of course CliffyB

This game is the best. Nice voice acting. Solid combat. Classic DQ feelings. The music sticks in your head all day. The intro gets me HYPED each time it plays. If you think it is "too easy" than you can make it harder. There is no difficulty slider. Instead you can use the Draconian Mode system to make the game harder for your self. These options include: No Fleeing, No Shopping, No Armour, Reduced Experience From Easy Fights, All Enemies Are Super Strong & Shypox (Which is really funny at times)

This is a classic game. There is a reason it is used on LTT to test hardware. Graphics hold up. Audio gets you pumped. Gameplay is well balanced and addicting. I love the arcade mode. I love finding all the secrets hidden around the map. Gameplay is fairly linear, but it works well for Doom. You can explore out and find secrets, or focus on the main objective. Either way the game is a blast. Replayability is very high and the arcade mode helps you replay your favorite moments from the game.

One of my top 10 games.

I keep coming back to this game, years after release.
