Even though I believe this game's quality is lower than other than other tactical FPS shooters, I will be writing this towards people who are constantly yapping about things like "OMG GO BUY RON INSTEAD!!1"

Guys, Ready or Not is NOT a SWAT shooter game. I have made a review on its latest DLC, please read it for further insight. There is no need to ruin objectivity with your objectively wrong subjective remarks and opinions.

But aside that, Zero Hour has always been that lower quality policing game with bugs, issues etc. At times I couldn't even act as a police officer (which is very much every part of RON btw, no policing, all military action), which honestly sucks. Youtubers who recommended this game are at wrong as always. Just a tip, don't believe "popularity" in tactical games. No modern tactical game has been able to reach the quality of OG games like SWAT 3/4, Rainbow Six (even Ghost Recon Wildlands), Insurgency (+Sandstorm) etc.

If you want a quality time, please go try these games instead. Don't try these sloppy tactical games.

I will be trying OPERATOR soon even though it uses AI tools inside development, I'll try to update this when I try it. BOLO!

I've put a ton of hours playing mods on Ultimate ZDoom, GZDoom and LZDoom, and it never gets old. Even the vanilla gameplay of DOOM is awesome. No wonder why it sold more than the operating systems at the time.

Their last announcement regarding no DRM implementation and how they're against Playstation's ultimate decision to end physical gaming in their platform really made me want to write this review.

If you were to ask me to review this game by referring to a game, I'd say Cruelty Squad. It looks bad on the box, yet it's an amazing game in the inside. It utilizes the idtech2 engine to make a fast paced first person shooter experience, and this experience is full of fun and funny moments.

I have no idea as to how I'm even supposed to describe the game, so I'll say this instead:

From the demo to me purchasing and finishing the EA, this has been a really fun ride.

I don't remember a game that's been this fun to get me hooked up to it with positive feelings from the start to the finish. From exploring around the maps, to then try to replay the maps, to unlock all the content and such all at once, this game got me interested. The story's interesting for me too. OST is beautiful, really fits the vibe of the game, the enemies get more interesting the more you progress too. You really put a ton of cool stuff on top of the demo in this EA version.

The gameplay is very fun, some people slapped "oh my gawdd this game calls itself an immersive simm but it isn'ttt, oh my gawdd this is a generic FPS game" as their comments, and these people really need to reconsider their choice of words. I played Cruelty Squad and this game is similar to it in some ways, you've got multiple entrances to certain areas just like Cruelty Squad, you've got people to kill and objectives to complete just like Cruelty Squad, you can interact with certain objects in the map just like Cruelty Squad, now tell me, what makes Cruelty Squad an immersive sim when it doesn't make this game an immersive sim? If anything, it's one of the aspects of the game, not the entire purpose of it.

The world is very immersive, from the visuals to the dystopian vibe that can be seen in every part of the game, the Hotline Miami and Manhunt aspects... They all build up to be a world that's grim, dark and believable.

Long story short, definitely play this game, and Tito, continue what you're doing with the game, this game's awesome.

While many comments give false information due to their false expectations, mine will straight up get to the point without lying..

I magdumped a regular looking bandit, %80 of my shots hit, and I died instead of the bandit. Blud took it like a champ, wow man.. This game has a huge potential, it just needs more work on it.

P.S I have more hours on my save than my Steam time, 2-3 hours on that save, decided to try the game before buying it, and this happened right after I bought it

EDIT FOR THE DEVELOPERS:
I used ECM with 7.62x39 HP, even though it's HP, as it's the only option I have, it doesn't make any sense for the bandit to survive all this even with this ammunition type.
The bandit was like every other bandit, this happened in the first map (with 3 ish hours on my save) and it happened around the village.
The combat was really close quarter, we were right infront of eachother with barely any distance, yet magdumping the bandit let 'em survive.

Aside these though, there are some things that the "custom difficulty sliders" cannot fix, for example, the enemies are too accurate and I don't see any sliders to change that. Other sliders are good but I decided to go with the Survivor difficulty in order to not have the game not treat me too softly nor too harshly, I wanted to have that balance while also having the scavanging aspect of the game shine.

I believe that you are trying to create an LQC environment in your game's combat, however, I still believe that having an accuracy slider would benefit your game a lot, as some people might be more keen on CQB rather than constant LQC, this also eliminates the problem where you're too reliant on snipers or late-game gear.

Amazing game imo, could use more work on the studio and game front but it is what it is, it's still very fun^^

AI upscale textures, make the game more orange and you get extra 25 degrees to your temps compared to the original
Pretty self explainatory, get this only if you want to play the originals lmao, they're far superior
