I was going to give it a negative review but the performance for me is running well enough and the gameplay is amazing so I had to go positive. I played DD1 so the game is exactly what I expected and wanted. If you want a good physics based RPG and you have a good CPU the game is perfect for you

Quick highlights
Pros:
*Good combat, direct improvements on DD1's combat
*Great physics
*Great character creator

Cons:
*FPS around NPCs is pretty bad, major cities and anywhere with a lot of NPCs is bound to have low frames if you don't have a newer CPU. Combat is usually fine since there's at most 10 NPCs around (I get around 20-30fps in Vernworth but it's not that big of a problem for me since it's just shopping and talking)
*The microtransactions aren't as big a deal as people say, it's the exact same as it was in DD1. You can earn all the items in the store through gameplay fairly easily. The store is just a shortcut for the lazy and new players. It is a bit of a scummy newbie trap though
*No "New game" button. You can make a mistake and be stuck with it since you can't even restart the game for some odd reason
*Timed quests without indication. Timed quests are fine but without timers telling when they end they can get rough. Dead Rising did it better with an actual indicator of when they end
*Denuvo

Personal Gripes:
*One game slot
*Forced autosave and no optional manual load. Make a mistake? Gotta play the whole game again!
*Capcom is directly anti-modding (Literally why? Modding has artificially extended Skyrim's lifespan by 10 years and could do the same here)
*Wacky "romance" mechanic that will ignore anyone you put effort into romancing (Do a quest for them, give them gifts, etc.) and give you some random nobody you locked eyes with for 2 seconds while passing them on the street instead

And the most unforgivable sin:
*No mystic knight (Seriously magick archer gets to come back but not MK?)

Requires a separate PlayStation account which wouldn't be an issue if Sony didn't get hacked so often. I don't want Sony having any of my steam data and putting it more at risk so that means I'm not able to play. Rot in hell Sony

A very fun game bogged down by a terrible crafting system and a worse micro transaction store. Game play is worth buying the game but the skins pricing is absurd and predatory. And of course the only unique cosmetics are the paid ones in the shop that rotates every two weeks to encourage FOMO. The crafting system is built on RNG in a way to artificially prolong your play time, which is both stupid and unnecessary since the gameplay is fun enough to do that on its own.

Released with a ton of content unfinished and barely fleshed out. It's taken over a month to get just two small updates that take care of 3 bugs while game breaking bugs persist. The story lacks options and good writers. The whole game is more focused on being a PG kids game than providing an actually fun RPG experience

Buggy horrible launch with probably less than half of the promised content. The overhype for this game was insane and still hasn't received any major content updates since release (Bug fixes do not count).

Gameplay is fun but the monetization is atrocious. $15 for the color blue? $20 for one set of armor? That's not even funny how bad that is. And to actually get to level 100 in the battlepass you have to play an INSANE amount of matches just for a couple armor customizations. I really wanted to customize my spartan and stand out, but I'd have to play this game more than I work each day to get there. I'm willing to bet that no matter how much public backlash 343 gets, they'll never bring this monetization to an acceptable level.

By far the best VR game out with a ton of amazing mods on Nexus. No other VR game comes close to the quality and enjoyment I got out of this game. This game alone makes buying a VR setup worth it. I love this game and look forward to seeing how it develops further.

I'm pretty bad at art but this game is still super fun. Hopefully there'll be modes for VR and multiplayer on the full release.

As always the mainstream reviewers are completely incompetent knuckle draggers who can't beat a kids game to save their lives. 2/10 for a game just because you're an idiot? Seriously?

10/10 The game's fantastic. My only complaint is that the restored content is only in multiplayer when it should be in both single and multiplayer.

One of my favorite games because of the terrific visual style and memorable pages in hypnospace.
