Early Access Review
I closely followed the development of this game and I've played since original steam playtests. Few games get me as hooked as this one.

The gameplay is satisfying and challenging to learn at first but allows you to learn from your mistakes. The devs are constantly updating and tweaking things in a true early access style to make the game better and achieve a more balanced gameplay loop. There is a ton of fun to be had both as a solo, or with a group of people.

On the topic of free to play. The game is meant to be a paid game with only cosmetic microtransactions (you can also earn cosmetics). They opened it up for free on steam to grow the playerbase which I think is a great idea. I always had a hard time reccomending the game to my friends because it's very punishing and not everyone likes the kinds of games that heavily punish your mistakes. Now, they can download it and try it themselves with more than reasonable limitations. You could put hundreds of hours into the game in F2P and likely be perfectly satisfied with the experience. Paying just allows you to play the game in more ways without having to choose just one character.

Overall, this game gets a fat reccomendation from me and the review bombing that it gets is largely blown out of proportion. Download the game and try it for yourself.

This game is fantastic and runs fairly smoothly on my system on ultra settings. I'm running a 9900k and a 1080ti with 32gb of ram. Some people are making this game out to be a huge failure and I wholeheartdly disagree with them. From the moment the game launched there were a few bugs but nothing that negatively impacted the story or gameplay and certainly nothing that competed with bugs I'd experienced playing any bethesda games on release. I was able to complete the main story in what I would consider a reasonable playthrough after 48 hours in game. The world building and level design is fantastic and immersive and the combat feels good enough that it isn't a distraction to the core gameplay. If you are looking for a story driven and immersive single player RPG then Cyberpunk is a very serious contender even with the bugs in the game. During my 48 hour play through only on one occasion did I experience a bug that prevented me from progressing and the fix was a quick reload of my previous save 2 minutes prior.

Overall, I think the game has excellent graphics, terrible driving, and a beautiful story built in a really well fleshed out world.

If you want to get PTSD from a video game or need to talk yourself out of joining the military, this is the game for you.

10/10 would take mortar shells landing on my friends while they scream things that cannot be heard over the explosions.
