I would recommend buying if not for the horrible combat

Prettier than previous titles but with worse gameplay.

It is fundamentally a different game, it might look like Monster Hunter but plays like a hack n' Slash Title, if you are looking for the old MH experience I would advise you to emulate them.

+Looks pretty
+Many quality of life changes (removing unnecessary tools, no loading screen, tracks instead of paintballs, etc.)
+It's MH on PC

-The end game is bad, the best fights are hidden behind a +30 hour grind without real reason besides increasing playtime
-Monsters are annoying to deal with and newer ones straight up bypass core defensive mechanics
-Turning the game into a pseudo MMO with AEO Spam, instant death mechanics, and DPS checks

the weapon design is lazy, most armor is lame and I want the lolita palico set without having to wait a year for the next event :(

Half the content got removed and was replaced by a lackluster system that isn't fun.
