A solid mystery experience with obvious care and effort put into the stories and details. Make sure to get the DLC.

About as short as some people mentioned but more thoughtful and charming than expected. The mechanics are pretty well thought out but some items can be hard to identify, which can be frustrating with the sometime obtuse placement requirements.

Overall, a nice experience.

I held off on buying and playing this a while, suspecting it would make me dizzy and not quite be a good fit. I guess I was right. After some frustration trying to get the gist of it in a few sessions I looked through discussions to figure out what I was missing. A user, in response to complaints about game controls, described the UI as "minimalist and intuitive". I would describe it as decidedly neither for me. Constant pings with no clear meaning, bizarre crafting and construction, awful selection interaction and camera control with a controller. Maybe I'm just an idiot now but the controls and gameplay just feel obtuse and frustrating. I'll keep trying and update this review if my experience improves but I've tried several times and can't make it more than 10-15 minutes.

A real treat. Runs pretty well even on awful hardware, fun mechanics, weird sense of humor, and just overall pretty simple and neat.

Like GTA if they stopped pretending their primary audience wasn't horny, violent adolescents.

The tank squishes cars, which is cool.

A worthy successor to the first game, lots of incredible moments

Pros:
- Very beautiful and detailed world with incredible scenery and cool creatures
- Many additions to base building and customization
- Truly spectacular areas to explore. First game many areas felt a lot like Earth's ocean, this one has some really surreal and jaw-dropping areas
- No Warpers

Cons:
- Smaller world
- Land exploration is love it or hate it. I wasn't a fan. Snowfox drives weird and I don't care for it.
- Story is a little chaotic
- Progression is a lot like the first game. Easy to get stuck looking for item fragments with no idea where to look. If you can complete the whole game without looking things up I'd be impressed
- No Cyclops :(

Overall:
It hits most of the good things about the first game with some wonderful improvements to base building and some amazing environments. Definitely recommend!

Best game of the series so far! Lots of great stuff from the last few games but well organized and set up very well.

A little tedious in a few places waiting for navigation and animations but more depth and complication than the first two games. Even more clever elements and small details.

A real treat if you like puzzles and tinkering/exploring. Pretty impressive but not insanely challenging. Very good overall!
