Ps1 graphics, teleporting enemies (that shouldn't teleport), and online jenk like you wouldn't BELIEVE. One of the worst launches I've seen.

2/10 Wasted potential, could be better in the future, but it'd be the LONG future, so, buckle up lads.

The Legend of Bumbo, made to be the prequel tot binding of Isaac, was fine, but could have, without a doubt to me, been better. First, I'll start with the biggest change, the gameplay, now there's absolutely no problem that the gameplay is wildly different than the two "Binding of Isaac" games, yet making a Candy Crush clone the TBOI universe was just not the right route in my opinion. In the creator's defence, there is a unique spin on the concept, but not enough to make this run into the ground genre of gamplay stand out among other game of it's kind. There are "spell" and "mana" mechanics, hence the unique twist, but isn't unheard of in other games in the same vein, altogether, the gameplay feels less like the creator wanted to make a new unique game, but simple found a popular game type that was easy to work around, and went from there.

My second problem with this game, is the story, or lack thereof. The Binding of Isaac games allowed for much speculation as to deeper meanings of the games, with Isaac having many tiny pieces of story that seemed to fit into one larger, hard to explain, puzzle. In Legend of Bumbo, you play as Bumbo, who lost a coin and goes to get it back, that's it, that's the large overarching story. Now, I am very aware I have far less time of Legend of Bumbo than I do on TBOI, so I may very well be just missing pieces of the story I could have received had I played longer, but the introduction story, where Bumbo loses a coin, pales in comparison to the one that sets Isaac running from a murderous religious zealot mother. With the addition of the general uninteresting gameplay, the story doesn't seem worth the time, if one even remains at the end of the Bumbo game.

In the end, The Legend of Bumbo was a game, and that's simply all I can give it, and I have no doubts that this particular game would no have the reviews or sales it does if it weren't for TBOI's cult following. The Legend of Bumbo was disappointing, as I believe Edmund could have done far better with this game. As someone who enjoyed TBOI, I genuinely hope the creator's can create something new in the future, and, hopefully better.

This game, despite my initial hesitations towards it, with it's infamous difficulty, I bought, with little expectations than to rapidly die, and refund after a few rage-quits. But, really quickly, Dark Souls 3 became addicting, and despite my, well, numerous deaths, I still kept pushing at it, wanting to play it more. This game blew all of my initial assumptions about it out of the water, quickly regretting not having bought it sooner.

Okay, so, after about fourty minutes of playing it, I can already safely say this this is one of the most ungodly difficult survival games that I have ever played. Now, to start, let me talk about the food system, in the short span of time my sanity allowed me to play this game, I was encouraged to eat enough food to cure the entire nation of Ethiopia of starvation every three minutes. Now, to the temprature system, but before people start to say "Well, it's Alaska, not Miami", yes, I understand that Alaska is cold, but, come on, I can't last five minutes without throwing my body into a campfire? It's like I spent $17 to be shoved into Mr. Freeze's a**hole and told that it's just survival mode. Now, all jokes aside, this game has plenty of potential and I am excited to see where it goes, but, in it's current state, I would not recommend this game to anyone of sound mind.
