I bought this game in early access where it seemed fine. I'm now playing on Meta Quest 2 and I'm unable to load the game that I "save". The save/load system doesn't work now in 1.0 and since I bought it so long ago I can't get a refund. So a game that has no savestate for me that I can't really play. Not recommended until they fix something so critical...

Checks all the boxes that a game you will be talking about for decades needs.

Its really just unplayable, and there probably is a good game there, you just wont get to it until they fix the stutters.

So here is the thing about Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem...

Does it scratch the Diablo 3 itch? Yes often at times, but Path of Exile is still doing it better and for free.
The game looks great and really does have a lot of future potential, having said that, I revisit this game every 8 months or so and sadly I've not seen much change over the course if its development.

Pros:
-Graphics, Combat/Spells & Story all feel rewarding and engaging.
-An interesting and massive leveling up system including passives/attributes/skills and more.
-Fun endgame content and items to collect.
-A steady stream of developer updates.

Cons:
-Bug filled encounters that will often result in a restart, at times unplayable lag.
-Limited class and character selection makes for new playthroughs feeling the same.
-There are items in the game that are unusable but still drop.
-UI is clunky.

Overall:
I only recommend this game is purchased during sale purchase, or at the very least to keep your eye on for future updates / overall improvements.

The game, mostly faithful to the original is still missing a ton of content fans of the original would come to expect.
However just like the previous remake entree, this game is still fun and engaging with good performances and an interesting story.
It moves more into the action genre then the horror, however it maintains a good horror scenery at most times.
The main draw back here is that its far too short, and that's just a damn shame.

One of the best games of the year. Love the new design of a classic series.
