A piece of railroading history, and a beautiful train too! The FP7 and FP9 Locos included in this pack are a great inclusion in any user's library, although in hindsight I'd say it's better to purchase these in a sale.

Physics wise, I can't see anything wrong with the trains. It takes some pulling power to get the Zephyr going, and you need to be careful in handling the brakes to slow your momentum down.

Models are fantastic, every little rivet and screw is detailed. The passenger views in the Bi-level Dome Car at the rear of the Zephyr is also fantastic.

Currently, the only passenger views are in the Dome Car. You get three 'views' (or more accurately, positions), which you can switch between with the arrow keys, much like in the Cabooses provided with the Soldier Summit SD40T-2 and GP9. One in the lower level lounge, and two in the upper level. It would have been nice to have passenger views in the other cars; perhaps the Day Coach or the Sleeper Coach, but this isn't really a huge issue to me. It's really relaxing to pick a long route, leave the Zephyr to its own devices and take in the scenery from the Dome Car!

Cost is DTG's fairly-common price of £11.99. While I don't regret purchasing this at the full price, I'd say that unless you are a fan of the Zephyr, it'd be better to buy this when it's on sale.

In conclusion, the FP7 California Zephyr Pack is a good DLC addon for Train Simulator, and one which is worthy of being in anyone's trainshed, even if there are some disappointing missed opportunities.

Alongside the Chinese Railways CRH380D, the ICE 1 was one of the first high-speed electric trains I picked to go into my growing library of DLC, and let's just say that I wasn't disappointed!

From what I can tell, a lot of love was put into this addon, both inside and out - however, the near-complete lack of sound in the passenger view is somewhat odd, even though the real ICE 1 was designed to be very quiet. It seems very strange that you can't hear any internal sounds at all!

This train is also very fast, and gathers speed at a phenomenal rate. From what I gather, this appears to be very accurate to the real train's attributes. I often use this train to 'tour' new routes that I purchase, so that I can explore them prior to trying out the scenarios for that route!

A welcome inclusion is passenger views in both the Standard and First Class coaches, something which even now many DLC trains fail to include.

In conclusion, for a price of just £4.99, the ICE 1 is a definite pick if you want an excellent DLC train at a budget price. I highly recommend this train!

What a lovely little train for such a good price!

Pretty much since the dawn of the train, the UK's monarchs have been transported by them. This addon represents the two Class 67s that have been in use since 2003.

As the Class 67 is a diesel, expect it to gather speed at a remarkable rate. This can make accelerating out of stations without breaking the speed limit easier said than done. Once the 67 reaches a high enough speed, it will stay there, making the long haul between stations fairly comfortable.

A gripe I have is with the carriages; While they are very pretty and have good physics, there's no passenger view! DTG missed out a brilliant opportunity to model the interior of the Royal Train, perhaps even including the Queen herself as a passenger.

The single scenario included is great fun and easy to do, although you'll find yourself breaking the speed limit quite a lot. I just wish there were more scenarios for this train, but what's included is very good.

In conclusion, this addon is perfect if you want a good Train Sim addon for a low price. While the lack of passenger views and extra scenarios is a bit disappointing, what's present more than makes up for it.

What is arguably one of the most gorgeous routes for Train Simulator, coupled with one of the easiest trains to drive in the game makes this addon definitely worth picking up.

As many people have often said, Train Simulator is lacking in Japanese routes, an unusual predicament as the country itself is full of varied and extremely busy routes in real life. Fortunately, this route and the trains which come with it have brought some much-needed attention to this underused country in Train Simulator, and it is easy to tell that a lot of work has gone into this product.

Firstly, let's talk trains. This addon comes with two, the JNR Class 103 and Class 105, both well-known workhorses of JR East's services. While both are drivable, it's a bit of a shame that there are no Standard or Career Missions for it, although it is perfectly usable in Free Drive on any electrified route - I had quite a bit of fun doing the run from Ryde Pier Head to Shanklin in the 105!

Both the 103 and 105 are beautifully and accurately modelled and textured, giving the feel of the real train inside and out. Japanese trains are known for their ability to both accelerate and come to a halt quickly, and this has been properly replicated in this addon. If you're not watching the speedometer you can easily start speeding, although the simple 7-set series brake can quickly bring your speed under control. Much like the Class 483 that comes with the Isle of Wight route, the 103 and 105 are trains that you can get moving in seconds.

Now, on to the route itself. To say this route is varied is an understatement; You'll be travelling through dense urban areas one minute, then through the lush and green countryside in the next. There seems to have been great attention to detail involved; petals blow from the Sakura trees and a wide array of tree types stop the countryside from being too 'cookie-cutter' like some addon routes. Both lines are characterised by flat ground and small hills, and boy is it fun to gather some speed and comfortably ride down a hill at 60 mph!

Finally, it's time for my thoughts on the career missions. As mentioned before, there are no missions for the Class 105, which is a bit of a shame. However, the missions for the 103 balance this out sufficiently, although you have to be prepared to do some micromanaging if you want to get the best scores. As is true in real life, the Japanese railways are known for their need to be as on-time as possible, and for the unforgiving consequences that lateness will result in. Expect to be given a fair challenge, with every missed second coming back to bite you. Even the easier missions require you to pull out of the station with seconds to spare after loading up, and it is recommended that you be familiar with the train before giving the missions a go (although this shouldn't take too much time, as mentioned earlier with how easy it is to master the 103 and 105.)

In conclusion, this addon is absolutely brilliant, and worthy of being in any user's library. While there are a few let-downs, such as the absence of any missions for the 105, the bulk of the addon more than makes up for it. I wholeheartedly recommend that you pick this up when you have the chance.

In this gripping tale, you play one of four survivors with a unique personality quirk with three other survivors, and struggle to learn the values of Paracetamol, Aspirin and First Aid in a bleak world where an evil AI Director has engineered the apocalypse to suit its own demands.

It's up to you to lead your motley crew to safety as you journey across the Eastern Seaboard, with Zombies waiting to attack you at every turn, and the AI Director unleashing hell every time it gets annoyed with your progress (or lack thereof).

There’s a tiny little airfield down the road from the house called Sandown Airport. It’s far too short for airliners to land or take off from, but I sure as hell tried it with a Boeing 747-400 in this game! To make a long story short, I ran off the runway, ran over several houses, finally limped into the air, forgot to use my flaps and slammed into the ground. I loved every minute of it.

Almost any airport you can think of (and many you don't know about) are in this game, and there are also plenty of aircraft included with the game to tide you over until you set off to the Internet to look for a massive variety of freeware and Payware jets and helicopters!

This is a game which is definitely worth playing if you want to have some fun, and a useful learning tool if you're seriously into simming. Flight Simulator X is also far less taxing on many computers, making it a perfect alternative for computers who can't run the fiendishly-large X-Plane 10. FSX is used by everyone from total newcomers, like me, to professional airline pilots.

In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend picking this game/simulator up, because no matter how serious people can be with it, you can find many ways to amuse yourself in the vastness of Earth's skies.

Set out on the road to London from Southampton. As I left the M27 to Join the M3, I wiped out, was flung through the air and slammed into a bridge, leaving my truck with a broken engine and my cargo almost completely destroyed. Landed in the opposite lane, and the police take money away for 'wrong side of the road offences'.

Limped into London, and got nothing.

But I loved every second of it.

9/10, would slam into a bridge and destroy my load of oranges again.

Garry's Mod. What can I say? Anything I could say wouldn't be giving this game justice. If you can afford it, buy this game, as you will never regret it!
