The game is good. It's fun.

It's also pretty buggy. The UI is hit and miss. A few aspects feel rushed/unfinished.

But, if you can tolerate the bugs and don't mind paying out the ass for the all the DLC as it comes out, you might as well get in here and build Dogo Onsen before they nerf it.

Edit: They nerfed Dogo Onsen.

The more you play it, the more fun it is. The more fun it is, the more you play it.

"It's Dad-Com," I said.

"What's that?"

"It's X-Com for dads."

"What is?"

"This game, Classified France '44. Not a great title, I guess. But like, you know how dads are obsessed with World War Two? And they like simpler, slower things? A little less flash, you know? A game where they can take their time, not aggravate their carpal tunnel. Maybe a game that throws WW2 facts and stories at them that they can breathlessly tell their family about at dinner. And it's basically just X-Com. So, Dad-Com."

"Who the hell are you? Get away from me."

But I'm already gone. Evac'd the second my feet hit the zone.

Once upon a time, a lobster named Daniel was arrested by the lobster police for lobster-related crimes of the non-violent variety. He pleaded guilty to embezzlement and fraud and was sentenced to life in prison. That prison was actually a lobster cage, and a nice man named Fezzelbreaker picked Daniel up out of the cage and ate him for dinner. Fezzelbreaker went about his life and later married an old lady to swindle her out of her money. That old lady was named Ruth, and she was my grandma. Proud of you, Gram Gram!

Truly a great game for SIT BACK AND RELAX. RELAX. RELAX. Let your mind wander. You are in a forest. You look around, but you have never been in this forest. The trees are trying to tell you something: MOOOOOOOOAAAAANNN... MOOOOOOAAANNN... You start to back away from the moaning trees when you feel the ground start to give. You stumble a little but catch yourself before you fall. You turn around to see a pit: at least a mile across, going down into the earth until you can see nothing in the blackness. You cannot breathe. Behind you, you hear a flurry of leaves and then you are struck in the back by a swinging tree branch. You tumble down down down down down down down down down into the abyss. Time passes while you fall, then more time. You lose track of the time that goes by. Is it months? Years? You ponder your life. Did you SIT BACK AND RELAX enough? Did you waste too much of it caring for others? Who was that clown at your eighth birthday party who you caught kissing your mom in the garage? Why does everything suddenly feel greasy?

Does a good job of feeling like the original game while improving a few things from the olden times. If you're curious about where Final Fantasy started or feeling nostalgic for a game you haven't played in a few decades, this is definitely worth checking out.

Fun deck-building game with lots of expansions and variety. If that's what you want, this is a solid one.

The guns feel nice, the levels are well-designed, and teamwork is effective. You can still usually find people to play with for co-op any time of day. If not, hop in an empty server and people will usually join before too long.

If at first you aren't having any fun, equip the flamethrower and bathe some Nazis in righteous hellfire. Listen to their screams as they die in agony. Stupid Nazis.

It's sort of perfect. It's a pretty chill RTS with fun, puzzly base-building. There are a bunch of great factions that all change the way you approach the game, some of them pretty drastically. It sometimes feels like a board game, but in a good way. The music is fantastic.

It is great solo and good fun with friends, and there are enough game modes to do just about anything you want to.

And it has workshop support!
