I've played this game through countless times and have a blast each time. So much to explore and so many ways to complete missions. This game really rewards players who take their time and explore the maps but if you want to barrel through sword out and guns blazing, thats just as fun!

Such a beautiful game that I am sorry to say took me a long time to actually sit down and play the whole way through. Excellent level design and wonderful horrible character design. I don't know if I can say much more than what has already been said about this game. It was really fun and genuinely scary!

Its a really fun game to play alone or with a group of friends. The developer is constantly updating the game and it seems that he really listens to the community feedback. Over 100 hours in and I still am having fun and getting spooked!

As stated above, I only have a little over 250 hours in this game so take that as you will. I want to start by saying that I had a lot of fun playing this game. The concept was fun and different from a lot of other online games I have played. The mechanics aren't complicated and this makes it easy for any new player to pick it up relatively quickly.

The devlopers seem to patch the game once a month and every patch has been more annoying than the last. The constant need for "balance" in the game has made the community extremely toxic and a lot of players are heavily one sided. This goes for players who mainly play survivor and those who mainly play killer. Both sides feel strongly that the other is overpowered or in need of a nerf and this mentalilty has made playing the game very frustrating.

The matchmaking system in the game is awful. I have had to wait in a lobby for over 20 minutes trying to find a match and this was when 22k players were currently in the game. After the most recent patch, it has only gotten worse in my experience. Even after finding a match, lag is a big problem for the game. The matches are based on the killers connection and while there is a ping indicator in the lobbies, this is not always acturate to the actual ping during the match.

Overall, for any new players looking to pick up this game I would say play with a group of friends first. Hopefully at least one who has been playing the game for a little while. The gameplay can be extremely frustrating at the start but once you get the hang of how the game works, it can be a lot of fun. Another suggestion would be to not take the game too seriously. As killer, don't focus on killing all four survivors and as survivor don't focus on making it out alive.
