One of the best stories ever written for a Final Fantasy game, especially the small details and connections to side characters you develop as you progress through the main story. The characters and their growth throughout the game is so well done and really helps you connect to those characters. The visual aesthetic is out of this world. The combat system is pretty hack and slash, nothing special about it, but it never felt old or tiresome. Very cinematic heavy, so if you are not a fan of that, you might dislike part of this game but I really can't recommend this game enough and I think if you enjoy RPG's you will feel satisfied with this game.

Was really excited to try this game out but couldn't even make it out of the tutorial due to bugs in the game. 1st bug I encountered was seeing the characters on screen with two sprites overlapping each other and was unable to take my turn, and the 2nd bug that made me stop playing was getting to the first boss in the tutorial. The game wanted to utilize the new cards you acquired just before the boss fight and forces you to use them first. Well that wouldn't be an issue if the game would let you discard the necessary card to complete the "combo" I reset the game, force closed it and reopened it and this happened multiple times. Overall a poor first impression and those are just the bugs I encountered, not to mention the frustrating interface when navigating the map or post fight menu of healing and renewing cards. Game has potential but right now it's a hot mess and I would not recommend you spend your time or money on this game.

I backed this game on Kickstarter years ago and I've been impatient for it's release ever since. I have been playing rpg style games since I was a kid and this game hits every nostalgia factor for me.

Aesthetic: The scenery, the attention to detail from how the shadowing is done, the out of shot landscape that adds wonder to an already beautiful area, and the lighting. I cannot say enough about how much I enjoy the aesthetic of this game and how truly beautiful the world is. I would give this portion of the game 10/10

Music: The music in this game slaps. The transition from different environments to capture the tone of the story is absolutely stunning. Every landscape is accompanied by immersive music that makes you feel as though you are there with Zale and Valere. The combat and boss fight tracks are out of this world and hype you up for the battle that will take place. I would give the music a 11/10

Combat: The combat in this game feels a little underwhelming, but still quality in terms of an rpg. As another user in the reviews mentioned, the fact that there is over-world monsters that seem unavoidable feels like an oversight. I personally don't mind this fact, but can see how this could be frustrating to others. I'm hoping this gets better as I progress through more of the story, but I was hoping for more combination moves that would be on par with the likes of Chrono Trigger. I also feel that enemies do not often enough drop materials or drop enough gold to make it worth grinding them as of now. I would give this portion of the game a 7/10

Story: I actually have really enjoyed the story of the children of solstice so far and looking forward to how the story progresses. I don't want to comment too much on this right now but I would say the story is a 9/10 so far

Misc: I have not found many bugs in the game so far and I think it speaks to the commitment the developers had to releasing a well polished game. One small detail I found during my playthrough is a cut-scene with Garl where his scarred eye changes from his left eye to his right eye. Not a huge bug, but something I noticed and kind of distracted me during the scene. The mini game The Wheel is interesting to say the least, but has been pretty entertaining.

Overall I would say this is an extremely well made game, and would recommend to anybody who is a fan of turn-based rpgs.

Update: This game hit me in the feels in a way that a game hasn't done in a long time. I think it's another point that the devs did a wonderful job writing the story and creating a masterpiece of a game.

Early Access Review
Great game to casually play, good mechanics, only thing I would like to see is new bosses to fight and rotation of bosses for a new experience. Overall I would recommend this game to anyone.

I've really enjoyed playing through the Pixel Remastered Final Fantasy games, and Final Fantasy 5 has been my favorite one so far (haven't played FF6 Pixel Remaster yet). The soundtrack is absolutely incredible, the quality of life options within the game, such as the mini map, auto-battle, etc. are great, and in my opinion has one of the better plots to a Final Fantasy game.

However even with all the praise I have for this game, there are a few things that I wish were updated or fixed that would make this game 10/10 for me.

1. Move Bestiary into Configuration Menu: Having the Bestiary only accessible in the main menu of the game and not within it can be quite annoying if you are someone like me who likes achievement hunting and want to check that I've fought every enemy and have to save/quick save to go to the main menu to check what enemies have been recorded.

2. Game Play/Soft-Locking during Auto-Battle: I've had this happen a number of times while playing this game and repeatedly during an auto-battle with Unknown (Bestiary #168) in the Great Sea Trench. There are 3 enemies and when one of the three is defeated it will respawn. You can auto-battle here and grind for a lot of EXP and Gil (APB is only 4, so not good for grinding Job Levels). However, whenever trying to do this, the game will soft-lock in battle after about 15-20 minutes. The battle music will still be playing, you can turn auto-battle off and on but the attack bars will remain frozen, you can't input any commands, and if you try to flee from battle, it will just put the characters into a run animation. I've also had this happen on other battles while using auto-battle, but this is the one I've been able to repeat.

Overall I would still say this is a great game worth playing if you like JRPGs, Final Fantasy, etc.

I've only just began playing this game and the story so far has been incredible. It really plays on the lore of League of Legends which in my opinion is one of Riot's strongest assets of their IP. The game play is so far a 7/10 for me with nothing standing out as a "wow" factor yet. I would highly recommend this game if you enjoy role playing games and enjoy the characters from League of Legends.

This game was so well done, from the graphics to the some new sides of the story we didn't receive in the original. Only thing that I would want differently from this game is for it to be longer.

Final Fantasy 7 is a classic game with a great story and cast of playable characters. One of the best entries in the series, it is also a great game to learn speed running on. If you enjoy RPG's, you will enjoy this game.

I have over 100 hours on this game and it is still incredibly entertaining to play. I was gifted this game by a friend and because of how much I've enjoyed, I've gifted this twice to other friends. I feel that 15$ is a great price for the content you receive. If you enjoy deck builders with a rogue-like feel to it, this game is perfect for you.

I thought it was a very interesting game. Had some humorous content thrown in with the serious side of this game which I appreciated. I got this game on sale for under 4 dollars and it was 4 dollars well spent. If you are looking for something to entertain you for a few hours then this game will do just that.
