Far Cry 2 takes place in late 2008, in a small Central African state, currently embroiled in a civil war. The government has recently collapsed, leaving two factions (UFLL and APR) vying for control. The goal of the player is to find and assassinate the Jackal, a 52-year-old arms-dealer who has been selling weapons to both sides of the conflict. Far Cry 2 features an open world experience, photorealistic graphics, and numerous dynamic systems (influencing weather, vegetation growth, AI and even propagation of fire).
