Developers gone way too far with "unforgiving" and crossed line with "tedious and punishing", when everything freaking jump scare at you and you have absolutely no means to defend yourself, this is not any fun.

Bandits that see you off screen and have double your speed?
Crazy encounters when you are massively outnumbered?
Character builder that lack tool tips and do not explain what do what and you can't ever build your character without external tools?
Excessive randomness?
Absolutely crazy bad quests and rewards?

At very same time, after you did certain things and picked certain companions all difficulty is gone, you just run around stun locking everything to death with little to no effort.

Infinite wisdom of developers allowed to make great game with enemies that just teleport around in front of you, enemies that attack entire map across, 3 out of 4 mission objectives related to staying in circle and all this multiplied by absurd randomness of loot, that cannot be dealt with, as you can "ban" just a tiny fraction of items and that bans are one time this run only and cost resources.

No they did not made "reroll" button or anything like that, game decided to give you +1 health regen, deal with it.

Devs did fix horrific "escort capsule" objective, that force you walk entire map as snail pace 4 times, how it move at fraction of your speed and you can speedup process, but still, you must walk around entire map at least 5 times and as long as you not managed to pump speed bonuses, you will have around 14 minutes round no matter your skill, effort or anything like that.

Gothic 2 NOTR of 2025, there are few bugs and few issues if you do silly things that devs not expected you to do, but overall gameplay, stability and all around balance is great.

Same as Gothic, most enemies can melt you in just few hits, there is very limited level scaling and you can decide your own pace and difficulty by going path you want.

Game suffers from severe balance and logic issues, you have 40 HP at start with +5 HP per level, sounds great, spells and special weapons have around 200 damage, this probably should kill some targets instantly, right?

Well, everyone else have HP in thousands and you are only person in the world that have such absurdly low amount of HP.
Every single battle, every single encounter is boring grind, hit target 500 times with spear, just dance in circles for 5 minutes.

Oh stop, i got that scroll with 268 damage, i should use it here, it cost 150 coins after all, boom, nothing, target lost like 10% of HP.

Burn all your money on mines and traps to deal with someone problematic - well, traps that ignore armor and deal 200 damage barely can scratch local fauna and human enemies are on completely different level.

Gothic games were challenging, but world and your character followed similar rules, random roadside robber won't have 2000 HP.

It's fun in theory, but only in theory, combat is extremely dull and repetitive, mechanics related to fog are stupid grind and ever mobile games have better things to offer.
Recent changed made game worse, far far worse then it was originally, entire concept of relics is micromanagment hell and disaster, i can't possible imagine how to enjoy them.
Over course of over a year game not advanced anywhere, combat is same placeholder as it was on day of original release.
Concept of wand leveling with leveling stations located in remote places so you can watch how your mages walks here all day long is great, very moment i unlocked room with station i just alt-f4 and uninstall.

Not playable in current stage.

This is great factory game, with rather bad UI, lots of bugs and generic lack of content, after beating hour long story, you have nothing to actually do but extremely repetitive quests. Yet it not crashed or locked ever once in 28 hours.

Still worth to buy and fully playable at it's current stage, but not quite fully enjoyable yet.

Current version of the game is breath of fresh air in never ending wave of mars colony simulators, complexity is just fine, no more shedinger inventory that allows you to craft anything sitting on mars rock. Logistic system is rather fun. Game do lack lots of QOL features like build in crafting codex or something like that, when you run out of "plumbing" in tutorial, there is no clue how to craft it and no way to get such information, you may only guess that 3d printer will do it, but game gives you no clues. Colony wake up mechanics are rather dull time managment, you just do few additional clicks and that all what you do about this.

This is wonderful game, with wonderful developer, but i can't stand that horrific "electric pole mini game", it's just rage inducing and absurdly bad mechanic that exists for no reason.

Yes there is auto connection and ever auto connection upgrade, but...i put pole and hit "auto connect" in very beginning of the game, it connects to all that useless floor lights (THAT DAMNED FLOOR LIGHTS REQUIRE DEDICATED CONNECTION!!!111) but not devices, not processor core, not battery, not reactor, it connects everything but what should be connected.

Forcing me to manually connect damned poles just to make things work, instead of enjoying building ship or watching drama unfold, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ electric poles.

And then game decided to throw "connector malfunction" narrative event that makes all my "hard" (not hard, but absurdly not fun) work go waste, forcing me to repeat it again.

Then explosion, then mind break, then asteroid, then micro meteors, then i just hit ALT-F4 to uninstall.
Half of ship crashed by meteorite? Ha no problem
All devices crashed by meteorite reset, all poles reset, and you must manually connect everything back? HORRIFIC.

Developer do check feedback, other horrific mechanic "de-fragmentation" made optional after feedback, just to be replaced by other not less horrific interruption "select your colonist" that not only interrupt your game by DEMANDING selection, it ever move camera here, especially funny when you doing something at this moment, it may issue order to deconstruct everything, by dragging selection from whatever you are doing to cryopods.

I just can't understand why some games do electric poles, this is not any fun.

Unlike many other games where skill DO matter, this is horrific slot machine simulator that sometimes allows you to enjoy process, but in most cases just screw you up randomly and reset you progress for no good reason.

Entire concept of "everything is random" is total BS, single crit and you die, all your gear is lost and you can't just buy or craft new one, it's random.
Basic items everyone have - you can't.
Basic weapons everyone have - you can't.
